On Dec 4th, we released several critical updates to the IMDb app. v8.3 is now available in the App Store. Please upgrade as soon as possible to ensure that all of the app features continue to work as expected.
If you are using an older version of the app, you may experience missing content and errors, particularly on features such as lists, reviews, and news. Anyone on a device that uses iOS 9 device or above is eligible to upgrade. We no longer support iOS versions 8 and below. Please use www.imdb.com if you have a device that is no longer supported. Everything seems to work fine, until I click the ratings star to view user ratings. The dialog pops up, but stays blank. After a little while a Network Error prompt appears asking to hit ok/retry. Retry doesn't help.
Also, saving my own rating does't work. It says Saving Rating, and after maybe 10 seconds, the notice disappears, leaving the ratings dialog on screen with a grayed out Save button and not having actually saved my rating.
I don't have either of these issues on my Android device on the same wifi network. I have killed and restarted app several times and my timezone and date&time are set correctly.
This started after the last IMDb app update.

Since yesterday, when i try to add a tittle to one of my lists on ios imdb app, this error message pops in:

I'm using an old ios version (7.1.2) because i own an old Iphone 4s. The app always worked fine until now.
Is there anyone with the same problem?

Hi Aaya, are you using the most recent version of the app? If you are, and still can’t view the Parents’ Guide, could you give us a couple of examples of movies or shows where you are unable to find it. Thanks!

Hi Amy, what version of the IMDb app are you using? And can you describe what problem you are having? Is it still the crash when you try to start the app? I see a post above that Col responded to but I don't think we heard back on the app version.

Well, it hasn't been working for about a month even though I had reloaded the app several times. After getting your question, I tapped on it to see if I could see anything before it crashed and suddenly it loaded. I've tried it again and again and it's fine. Sorry for my snarkiness. I do like the app and use it often and will continue to. Thank you.

I was having problems with my IMDb app on my IOS 6.1.6 version iPod, so I decided to delete it and then reinstall. Now it says I need to update to IOS 9 to get it back, but my iPod is too old to do that. I just want to be able to redownload the old compatible version. ITunes 12.7 doesn't let you look at past app versions.

Since the last couple of days for some reason is not able to connect to the network.
When I try to make a search i get the message: 'We couldn't connect to IMD now. Please try again'

I have been using the app with below device information for quite some time, but recently it is not connected to IMDB.com for film description pages nor news nor incoming film release dates, although showtimes still works. I am just wondering if this is an app-wise problem or if there is any way to fix the issue I am facing. Additionally, there is no longer an option to login with Google and my correct email and password do not work even when selected option to login with IMDB.

Thanks for your reply. Let me start by saying I have automatic updates disabled so I can check out changelogs before I update any apps. I absolutely remember updating the IMDb app on my iPad4 last month, I remember the changelog text about the iPhone X, that was version 8.2. I don't actually remember updating to 8.3.
However, since you asked I decided to double check and realized I could not see my current installed app version in the app store as it just shows the latest version available, so I looked inside the app in About and to my utter disbelief it shows version number 6.18.1. But I definitely saw IMDb in my updates tab in the app store a month ago and updated!!?
I removed the app and reinstalled, and app store prompted, as expected, latest version is not compatible and if I wanted to install the last compatible version. I ended up with 6.18.1 again.
I'm on iOS 8.4 and I realize it's quite old, but that's what I'm stuck with.
In any case, the IMDb app worked completely fine for me up until 3-4 weeks ago.
