We have also made several changes, listed below. These changes only impact the Your Ratings page on the IMDb desktop Website. You may find much of this information by creating and running custom searches on the AdvancedTitle Search page. For example, to see comedy titles you have rated, sorted by your rating, see this advancedsearch. Or, to see titles you have rated that are in the IMDb Top250 list, see this advancedsearch.
What did we change?
1. We removed the Compact list view. This was accessible from the far right icon (see A in the screen capture below). The grid view and detailed list view are still available.
2. We updated the “Sort by” dropdown box. It now provides the two most popular choices: Most Recent (previously called Recently Rated) and Top Rated (previously Your Rating). Sort by: Your rating, Title A-Z, Release date (US),Number of votes, IMDb rating, and Popularity were removed. See B in the screen capture below.
3. We removed the Refine ratings filters options from the Your Ratings page on the desktop site. See C in the screen capture below.
4. We removed the Find More Titles tab. See D in the screen capture below.

5. We removed the Recommended for You section on the User/Ratings page.
6. We changed the format of data in the Ratings Export. You can export your ratings to Excel by clicking the new overflow menu (the 3 vertical dots) above your list in the updated experience, and choosing Export.
There are many ways to find new titles to watch. IMDb users can use Advanced Search, look through the recommendations for new titles to watch under People who liked this also liked... on any title page, or see Top Rated Movies.
Thank you for your continued support.

As so many people already mentioned here, the compact view was the view that most people used, so why on earth remove that. Easy exports to Excel and copying of lists to name a couple of issues that now are much garder. These last changes can't have been tested on end-users, right?

Nearly no one thinks this so called "improvement" helps anyone, but Col and Co. just ignore that fact. Its hard to think what kind of person makes such decisions and believe the community would appreciate it, when everyone sees that its a big step back in filtering and sorting your own rated movies.
Hey Col, just try a test with some random people and see if they prefer the old way or the "new" way to filter and sort movies - I bet everything I have the majority will not agree with your claiming :D

I watch a lot of stand up comedy and with the previous filter it was easy to find which stand up specials I have seen in total and by a particular person. For example George Carlin has made over a dozen stand up specials and the only way I can keep track of what I have seen was to filter out that information on the ratings page.
What I did find is that in there latest terrible changes they removed stand up as a category (genre) in which you can look up titles. Now they classify these specials as either just "Comedy" or "Documentary/Comedy". There is now easy way to look up these titles any longer because so many titles fall into those two categories and I doubt I will ever have a complete list of them again.
Thanks again IMDB development team. For a site where most of the work is done for free by contributors who keep adding content you certainly do not care about pissing off everyone who has enjoyed this site.

This is totally ridiculous.
I currently have 1700 titles rated and like to browse through some of my old ratings...

Until a few days ago, we had the filter functionality within the 'Your Ratings' page. This helped me sort through all my rated titles based on type, genre, etc. which helped me find, for instance, how many tv shows I have watched, or how many movies in the action genre I have watched.
I know this can also be done using the advanced search, but that filter was a much easy way to achieve that. Also, I watch a lot of movies and tv shows and each time I do, I rate them on IMDb. So when any of my friends ask me for movie suggestions, I just used to give them the link to my rated titles page and my friends could filter it for themselves very easily. Now, doing this is so hard for me as well as for them.
Why was this feature removed in the first place? Id didn't make the page look ugly and it wasn't as if it was taking too much page space. Can it be brought back because it is extremely invaluable to me, and many others.

The change to the user rating page is fine but you removed the infographic bar chart of ratings by gender and age and replaced it with a data table. I would really appreciate it if you could add back the chart also, the user experience was way better with the chart.
I could easily look at the chart and pick the demographic group I was invested in is seconds vs now it takes longer and is less visually appealing.
I am sure there was a lot of thought that went into the layout change by your web design team but if there are huge benefits I am missing, please let me know.
Huge fan of IMDB,

Today I noticed that I can no longer filter my ratings and the only available sort options are Most Recent and Top Rated. How am I now supposed to figure out which are my, e.g., highest rated War movies? If I click on the War bar under the Ratings Analysis, it does show me all the War movies I've rated, but there I can't sort by my rating.

With the latest changes to the IMDb ratings page, I now have what I consider a serious problem. On the "My Ratings" and "My Profile" page, the total number of titles I've rated is listed at 7,320. However due to titles being removed from the database, the total is actually 7,275. The only way to really know how many titles I've voted for is to go to the "My Ratings" page, export the file, open the file in Excel, drag to the bottom of the spreadsheet, and look at the final row number. Then I know how many I've actually seen. This is incredibly frustrating.
As a software engineer/web developer, I know there is a way to remove orphaned records from the deleted titles table so that your pages will reflect correct number of titles I've voted on. Could you PLEASE do this?
Thank you,
David (Simba63)

I used my ratings almost every time through the listing view. Now this feature seems to be retired, or will it have a comeback? I'm really missing this view and its statistiscs and options. I really, really hope, this comes back or either 11 years of rating won't be as satisfying to me anymore. Sadly. Thanks Björn

For example, see mine over on the right on http://www.imdb.com/user/ur1000000/
You should be able use advanced search at http://www.imdb.com/search/title for most other filters, sorts and counts (see earlier in the thread for examples).

Well, 65 is quite a lot, Andru,
although maybe only a small proportion of the overall users.
And for every one who has posted there will be maybe hundreds more
who are not annoyed enough to be bothered or to work out how to post.
I don't see many (any?) who think the changes are a good idea.

Now this can be an opportunity to show that you care about users here and their feedback and want to build a website everyone can enjoy. Or it will make it crystal clear that all that matters for you is to spend the least you can while advertising films for Amazon. Be careful or your true priorities might show.
I'm a new user here, and I can tell you this update leaves me confused and disappointed. I find it absurd that you claim the update will have made navigating the site easier ??? I can tell you, I moved from Rotten Tomatoes to here because I found the functionalities better. If you continue destroying what brought me to this website, I will move on to the next better film database.

I cannot the "most voted", "IMDb rating" or the "release date" of my film list anymore! The only thing I can see is "top rated" (former "your rating") and "most recent". Why?

I cant refine my ratings anymore. Before I could see only the TV episodes, or the movies If I wanted to. I also could refine the list only to show some ratings, etc...
Now I only can do it with my Watchlist, that doesnt have the same titles that my ratings...

Happily, this bug appears to have been fixed. When I exported my vote history yesterday, it was sorted by "date rated" the way it used to be. Thus, exporting your vote history now provides a "compact view"-style list. It's certainly not a ideal substitute for the compact view, but at least it's a workaround that works now.

Why were the sorting and refining options for "Your Ratings" removed?
It was great that I could easily find the most recent release I've watched or movies I've watched that were released on a certain period of time.
Please bring these options back.

Why i can't see or don't have options on the right side of the site on my ratings page, where i was able to choose to see just tv series I rated or movies or mini-series, or if i wanted to see what mysteries, horor or comedies i watched?? wtf, where is that??

1. Choose ‘Advanced Search’ from the Home Page search drop down
2. Choose ‘Advanced Title Search’
3. If you leave the ‘Title’ blank you can choose everything else that was on the left of the ratings page before
4. Under the ‘Your Ratings’ section, choose the radio button to restrict to titles you’ve rated
Voila, same list as before, and while it requires a couple extra clicks, the list compliation is faster.

The Compact View is completely gone, and as basically everyone else have already pointed out, it is a total disaster. The Grid View and Details View were organized in pages of 100 titles each, and one could easily check for the movies they were searching for in chronological order, by navigating to the corresponding page. Now there is just one infinite list of movies, all on one single page, and we have to scroll down and click on the "show more" button dozens of times to get to find the films we need to. It's a much more complicated and time wasting process, to the point that I stopped doing it. I just don't open the ratings page anymore.
Another thing that I don't honestly think has been an intelligent choice, is that now every single movie card in the list have the "add to watchlist", "get showtimes" and "watch now" options. Movies that I have already rated, so I have already SEEN them. Don't need to see them again, so I don't need any of these new features.
If the goal was to get a more user friendly interface, especially for beginners, I think these changes you've made have had the exact opposite effect. They rendered the things difficult, annoying and impractical.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, revert things back to the original situation.
As of now, the user's ratings list have become totally pointless. And this is not good, given that it was basically the starting point for almost EVERY activity on this site.

The ratings tab doesn't load more than 1000 titles max for me. Plus it's very slow when loading +800 titles. Liked the old way better (Loading a new page per 100 titles).

Hi, i was just logging in today to see, there is no longer the option to view my watchlist in list mode. Since i'm sometimes looking up specific dates when i've rated a movie, it's very sad to see, this option has gone and only grid and detail view are remaining.
Are there any plans to bring this feature back in the near future or do you guys have any workaround? thx

Otherwise I guess you'll loose more people as well as countless ratings, for I think it's taking motivation from people to rate a movie, if you don't get the full advantage afterwards.
