Max Steiner is listed as 'Musical Director (uncredited)'. He is however credited. I just watched the main title twice. Problem is that when I go to edit this entry at IMDB there is no '(uncredited)' in the Attributes box to remove, so I can't fix it.

You are confusing to separate entries for the film. Max Steiner's uncredited credit is for "music by" which in the composer section. He is credited as "musical director" in the music department.
