Hi.
I've been updating tons of Titles for TV episodes that have been very hard to find.
Now, after doing that, I've managed to find the dates they originally aired and am not sure what category I can add the airing dates.
So, do I go back into each episode and go through the whole process again, even though it comes up as already listed, or do they come under either, "Filming" or "Production" dates??
Thanks in advance.

AC: The date that a television episode originally aired should be entered as its Release Date.
The filming and production dates are when the episode was actually made, which could be any time earlier, and would only be identical to the release date for shows that are broadcast live or taped earlier the same day. (If you are asking about the difference between "production dates" and "filming dates", see https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/guide/business_pd and https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/guide/business_sd, but there's not much guidance there and I don't have the expertise to explain further myself.)

Thanks for your answer Gromit82 (once had a dog called Gromit!).
However, somebody has come along and listed the titles of each episode, with the first episode only having the date the series was released. I then went into that episode to add the date, as there's a space allocated for it, for example: 'Day' 'Month' 'Year', but it wouldn't let me as they'd already put the title in. Each episode on other pages is listed 1 week apart, if it's a weekly show. I looked up some other shows and they've had them done okay, but as you can't edit this, nor correct/delete etc, I'm at a loss as how it's done. I do understand what filming and production dates mean, I just thought they were the only option left to me.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about and this has been done okay, again, a weekly show ...

Not sure what to do at this point. I appreciate your response. :)

AC: I see in your example for "Game of Thrones" that it looks like all the dates are correct, or at least they should be correct given how popular that series is and how many people are paying attention to its IMDb pages.
What series are you dealing with where the episode dates are missing or incorrect? Please provide a link to it and identify a few of the episodes that need to have their dates added/corrected, and what the correct dates should be. This way, the contributors here can test the problem and see what might be going wrong.

Hi. Sorry for the late reply, have had been busy with the kids etc.
Although the series I'm working on is French based, some-one had started putting the dates in and obviously gave up. As I added 100 episode titles myself and didn't find the dates until later, I'm just trying to figure out, how to add them to what's already existing. You'll notice each season's 1st episode starts with a date, which are correct, but I'd like to add the date and year to the rest.
Here's the link, hope we can figure this out.

I don't understand:
If you're on the page for the episode, adding a release date has nothing to do with the title of the episode.
So, if I go to the page for the show, I can see a date, 7 Sept. 2015, for ep. 1.
I go to episode 2, go to the page for release dates (it's easier to go there first so you don't get the huge list of things to edit), click "edit page" and add the date 14 Sept. 2015. The background, when I click "check these updates," turns green and I get the button to "submit." I see no message about a title.
If you're doing that and getting an error message, can you print-screen and upload an image here?
I then went into that episode to add the date, as there's a space allocated for it, for example: 'Day' 'Month' 'Year', but it wouldn't let me as they'd already put the title inThe title should always be there as it was most likely added when the episode was. So nothing should prevent you from adding a date or any other data related to the episode simply because it has a title.

Gotcha ya! I was going via the episode on the "add episode" page, where I'd initially added the titles etc. It never occurred to me to go straight to the release date. Brain clearly not working, not enough sleep.
You're legends. Sorry to mess you around, but thanks to you both for your time and help. Problem solved.
