Urgent tech help required

Please can I have some tech help to remove the (2019) attribute on my credits additions/corrections for our TV Series? I was forced to include this attribute in order to avoid using the episode credit function. All those cast and crew with (2019) attributes worked for the same length of time as everyone else - it is not correct or fair to only assign their credit to the year of release. Also it suggests that they have finished working on the show, which is totally untrue as Series 2 is in production. This is for Kiri and Lou (2019).

Emma,

I noticed that the program has an 18 March 2019 release date in New Zealand. I'm assuming this is for series 1. If available, please add as much credit information to the title as possible. Specifically, there are no episode pages attached, which would help update the credits with and without years to the right of a person's occupation.

For any series titles new to IMDb, a person may have a year next to their credit because their names are not attached to a series' episode page.

I hope this helps. Please write back if you have any more questions.

Hi there, yes, this is for Series 1. The issue is that we don't want any episode pages attached to our IMDb record.  How do we go about deleting the (2019) attribute to these people's credits on the series?
thanks!

Unfortunately this is not how IMDb works, sorry.

You are permitted series-level credits at the pre-production stage ahead of any episodes being made.  Once you have episodes, the credits should be added at the individual episode level only and the issues you are having with the series level credits will automatically vanish as the correct data is submitted in the correct place.

It is easy to create new episodes and to assign credits to specific episodes. Please start at https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/how-can-i-add-a-new-episode-to-a-tv-series/GVH6L8SY9AZZ5DZ6

Thank you for that.  Does this mean that I have to add everyone's credits multiple times for each episode, or can I apply episodes to each person?  Almost everyone worked on the whole series.

If you add the episodes with basic data first (see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/how-can-i-add-a-new-episode-to-a-tv-series/GVH6L8SY9AZZ5DZ6), you can then easily add everyone to all episodes at once (minus those cases where a specific person did not work on a specific episode, of course).  Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-do-i-add-an-episodic-credit/GRRHUZAQPQV4T2F9?ref_=helpsrall#multipleep

Hi Col. Along these lines, if I'm trying to move a credit that's in the wrong section to the correct section, I add the new credit and delete the incorrect one, with appropriate notes on what I did and why. Problem arises very often that an existing series crew credit in the wrong section has been grandfathered in with a date attribute with no episodes. Most of the time I will not be allowed to create a new record, as it's now forbidden to add one to a series without adding an episode and the software just won't allow it. One choice would be to just leave the credit in the incorrect section. If you wanted to cheat (which I haven't), I suppose you could assign the first episode to that person to allow the new credit but that wouldn't be kosher. The other alternative I guess would be to delete the credit altogether but that would be losing someone's data, so that's not good either. Is there some way to move this kind of a damaged credit? Thanks.
