Hi Celia -

I see your filmography page listing on the site here.

If there are missing credits for titles that you worked on, you will need to submit these missing credits through our online Update form.  All pages on our site include an 'Edit Page' button which allows comments/corrections to be submitted to our data editors.

You can submit your credit either form your IMDb filmography page directly (the "Edit Page" button is located near the bottom of the page), or you can submit your credit on the applicable IMDb title page.  If you are adding a, acting credit from your filmography page, in the form you will need to enter the title and your character name, submitting from a title page  you will need to enter your name and character.

Let us know if you have any trouble, otherwise, you can find help on how to add/update credits here.  Cheers!

Hi Michelle, thanks for your advice.  Please can you look at my reply below?  I am still trying to correct my details, though now it is the profile which is wrong and which I want deleted.  Every time I take a step I seem to be taken back to the 'home' page, and when I try to log in afresh on the home page I am told my email is not recognised.  It seems futile.  Should I ask to be deleted from IMDB altogether?  Better no information than wrong information.

Celia, as a database, the volume of your 'credits' will will increase each time someone adds the credits of a TV series, televsion film or short or featuure film etc. You state that your credits need to be corrected. Mots of them are identical to the ones of the BFO database. Are any of those incorrect?

I see two slightly different issues here:

1) incomplete credits = titles (films, tv series, etc) that are missing from the IMDb database.
SOLUTION: Add those missing films to IMDb (usually this means that you have to add also other credits than yourself):
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/guide/adding_new_title
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?resumenewtitle

2) correct the IMBD profile = mistakes that should be corrected.
SOLUTION: Go to the each title page (which has mistakes), click "Edit Page" and submit corrections:
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_article?addcreditstoexisting
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?resumefaq

Remember that IMDb is not really a resume/CV service (IMDB Pro is different case, though) and IMDb staff won't add your credits to the database just because they're incomplete. You basically have to submit them yourself and provide some proof (links, screenshots of the credits, etc).

Thank you for these 3 pieces of advice.  A more complete tv and film c.v. has now appeared, again without any input from me, and now, in addition, and again obviously without my consent, wrong personal details at the head of the page.

I want to delete these personal details: not only are they wrong but I don't want personal details of any kind, true or untrue, published about me here.  What can I do?  I have tried clicking on Edit page but keep being returned to a page which offers no way out that I can see!!

A less important concern is:  the page also announces that I am known for films were relatively unimportant in my body of work.  How do I change that announcement so that it headlines films  in which I had leading roles?

I would be grateful for some step by step help to show me how to erase not credits but personal information.

While you can get incorrect personal details removed from IMDb, the IMDb policy is that they will not remove correct details. So, for example, if your birthdate is correct, IMDb will be unwilling to remove it. On the other hand, I see on your page that you are currently listed as having been married the same year you were born, which is obviously incorrect. You should be able to get that item corrected. I am not sure what has gone wrong in your previous edits, so hopefully someone else will be able to help you with that.

You can change the list of films that you are "known for" on IMDb, but to do that, you would need to pay for a subscription to IMDbPro. See http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=knownfortopfaq and http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=knownforcontrols for details.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you very much for your attention to this.  I feel totally powerless, and intruded upon.  Can you tell me what right Imdb has to publish details of my personal relationships?  The whole structure of Imdb seems to me to be menacingly anonymous.  There appears to be no access to a live voice to talk to, no person in authority to apply to.  I never asked for any details of my life or work to be put onto the internet by them, but incomplete details appeared, and so I made an attempt to correct a very inaccurate summary of my work -- as I say, published without my consent and against my wishes.  Now they presume to print personal details.  Who has done this?  If anyone with a professional interest wants to know about my career for professional purposes they can consult Spotlight, the professional actors' resource, to which I subscribe.  I do not ask for any publicity by Imdb.  I would like all mention of me by this site/organisation to be erased from the internet.  What must I do?  Who must I ask?  Is there anyone TO ask?

Celia, this is the British Film Institute's database list of your work.

Is any of it inaccurate?
