Vindictive down voting

I have been noticing a trend that ever time one of the episodes for my companies series goes up, there is a user that votes it at 1. I believe it is the voting of a rival series in the same sub Genre as our own, and was wondering if there was a way to investigate the user. It wouldn't matter, but we are a smaller series, and the votes on our scale really do matter.

Thanks for the advice

Hi Glenn -

Our voting system has several safeguards in place and that this type of behavior is periodically detected and automatically defeated.

In the meantime, can you confirm the name of the series title that you suspect the vote manipulation is occurring on?

I hope this rule applies to exploitative "Up Voting" to increase red box and pay per view rental income on terrible movies like this one that has been excessively "Up Voted" and also commented on by the same person using multiple accounts. The movie is called Dark Moon Rising:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3155734/?...

The day before this "handi-cam home video" was released on red box and PPV it received 5000+ 10/10 and 9/10 votes making it a solid 9/10 on release day. In fact the comments have also been chain-barraged by the director starting August 4th and every day thereafter. In fact every comment with an 8/10 or higher is from the director. The result is A LOT of angry Red Box and PPV renters who feel they have been ripped off by IMDBs ratings system (indirectly).

Read through the comments on the movie DARK MOON RISING and you will see the battle taking place. In mine and many others opinions this director should be banned and all his movie scams pulled from IMDB.

Wow, Dark Moon Rising reviews are an all out war... Some of those 10 star ratings reviews aren't even about the film anymore but are just vitriol responses bashing the people who hate the film, and quote:

I thought the lord as taught these children to spread love and support
and not show hate or disdain towards people who work hard to bring
entertainment to the world. There are so many people here on this
website saying so many mean and unnecessary comments about this film.
Even though I don't believe in the creator making such creatures that
are depicted in this movie, I do believe they should be the ones who
are evil and not the humans commenting on this movie. Shame on the
other commentators/reviewers for spreading negativity and vulgar words
about the people who were apart of this film. If you do not have
anything nice to say, do not say anything at all. I think is movie was
nice.

Really, that's what passes for a 10 star review? Ordering people to not say anything unless it's nice? ROFL
