Want to remove my name from a TV show series crew

I worked for a couple days as a PA on a TV show episode a few years back and someone added my name as a series crew member. So.. I am constantly being credited as a PA when I no longer do PA work and did not work on any of those episodes. IMDb is not allowing me to even find my name when I go through the normal correct/delete process. Can anyone offer some advice on how to get my name removed from the series crew when the normal process for removing a name says that I need to remove it from individual episodes, but for the individual episode or for the series page, the "Other Crew" section does not allow you to select a name to delete.

Thank you,
Jacob

Jacob: Does this problem have to do with "Kitchen Nightmares" or is it another series? And which is the episode of that series that you did work on as a production assistant?

Thank you for the response. Yes, I worked as a PA on the Yanni's Mediterranean and none of the others. I know that someone who worked locally would have added us because there are quite a few of the Seattle PA's listed as series PA's when almost all of them are in the same boat as myself.

Really, my main issue is not so much that I am being credited for episodes that I didn't work on, it is mainly because I no longer do PA work and when potential clients look at my IMDb page, it shows that I am currently working as a PA which I then have to defend and correct that I am not and it has actually cost me a job in the past which makes it a big sore spot and issue for me.

Thank you again for the response,
Jacob

As mentioned in another comment thread below, yesterday when I attempted to correct/delete the credit, the page did not load the names of people listed in the other crew section. I just tried again and it did load all of the names and I was able to complete the process.

Thank you!

According to the data shown on the Jacob Leander Name page, all the listed Production Assistant credits were listed on screen (since there is no (uncredited) attribute on any of them). In order to get them removed, you will have to persuade the Data Manager both that your name was not listed on screen and that you did not work on the episode.

To get data changed, you need to click the Edit page button near the bottom of the page. On the next page you need to select Correct/Delete beside the correct section, and fill out the delete request. Note that the Explanation is critical. You cannot directly delete (or change) the credits; you submit a delete request which the appropriate Data Manager either accepts or rejects.

The credits are not stored internally at the Series level, so you need to enter  the requests either at each individual Episode or from your Name page. Since this is a database, there is a single record that is displayed in different ways on the two pages.

If you are adding a credit, particularly to an Episode, I recommend starting from the Title page because the internal format of the Title is difficult to enter correctly, but in this case, where the credit already exists, you are better off starting at your name page and clicking the Edit page button there, as then you can submit all the necessary changes in a single submission.

Make sure you only delete items that you neither worked on nor were credited for. If you are listed in the on-screen credits but did not work on the Episode, you need to add a (credit only) attribute to the credit rather than deleting it.

Just tried again and the last time I attempted to go through the delete process, it did not load the names in the section which is what sparked this thread being created. This time it did and I was able to submit the correction.

Thank you for your help!

I was not given screen credit for the 12 additional episodes that I did not work on. What merit does being listed as "uncredited" actually have as it is only an ancillary option to select when adding any name as a credit to IMDb?

By the way, last time I checked, I was very real.

IMDb's primary objective is to record credits as shown on screen for films, TV shows and video games.

However in older films and on TV shows, on-screen credits are often very sparse. The (uncredited) attribute allows those who would have been credited on a different project type to be listed, while still maintaining the accuracy of the on-screen credits. It also allows cameos that are likely to be of interest to the user to be recorded. For example, on the British drama Inspector Morse the writer of the novels appears in every episode in a cameo and this is recorded in an (uncredited) item.

Thank you for the response and I am sorry if I came off as brash. I use IMDb a lot and add credits for shows that I have produced and worked on for myself and other crew and I thought your answer was kind of generic so I wasn't sure if it was an automated response or not.

It is a sensitive subject for me because I have actually lost jobs or had to defend my experience in the past because of credits not being accurate and misrepresenting my experience and current projects solely from people looking at my IMDb page.

So that is where my frustration lies, is that IMDb's process for correcting/deleting a mistake isn't allowing me to select my name from either the series or the individual episodes. I haven't had problems doing it for positions in other departments, such as the above the line credits, but for the "Other Crew" section, it doesn't allow me to find my name to delete as it does with other departments.
