This is the correct page that we want to keep - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7350120/reference
This is the duplicate page that we want to delete - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2226440/reference
As Tom mentioned above, the TV Series title listing includes a 2012 Release Date which suggests that the title exists and was aired, however, you mentioned that the this title and the 2018 film title are duplicates, can you clarify a little further what you mean? Was the title first released as a TV Series and then later released as a separate film?
You also mentioned some credit issues, in order for us to take a look, can you clarify further what issues exist and on what specific page?
The release date was incorrectly input, I have no idea who did that, as it was prior to my involvement. I’ve been working on this project since 2014 and can tell you that it had not been completed and aired in 2012 as it was still filming at the beginning of 2014. It was originally shot as a television series in two parts, which is why there’s confusion. It wasn’t until Vision Films and Sony’s distribution involvement in 2017 that it was edited into a feature. But it definitely did not get nationwide DVD release as a series. So that was a human input error.
The incorrect credits are because of the confusion with duplicate pages and the cast and crew want to be credited correctly on the released film, not the series, as the series isn't available to view. Basically it means they have 2 credits for the same production and it doesn’t look professional. Some are only credited on the series page, which we have been rectifying upon notification. But it's time consuming and frustrating.
The ratings given on the old series page (prior to January 2018) are most likely from cast and crew. But any ratings given from the 1st January 2018 are new ones and are from genuine fans who have been confused by the duplicate pages and voted on the wrong page. This is a major problem for our campaign, which is why I'm trying to minimize the confusion by deleting the old page.
PRIVATE SCREENING MAY 2015:
This was a private screening for cast and crew and was a special 90 minute edit that was never aired or made available to the public. It neither resembled the series or the feature.
I hope this answers your questions. Can you please let me know if you have the authority to remove the page?
Based on the link Tom referenced above, the first two episodes were screened in 2012, please note that since this title was released it cannot be removed from the site as per our policy. To clarify further, were only the first two episodes/parts released? If so, you will need to request the removal of the incorrect episodes through the form here.
Additionally, is the footage from the 2012 episodes the same footage in the 2018 film? Or were there drastic changes between the series/film versions?
I shouldn’t have to point out that there’s a huge difference between private viewings and public ones, so I don’t really see why I keep having to justify this point, I am not misrepresenting the truth and I really don’t appreciate being given the third degree. This production has undergone drastic changes and many edits (which can be verified by the director himself) since 2012 and it is unfair that I’m forced to repetitively justify this point to simply get an incorrectly input page removed.
P.S. I actually now have an image from Facebook 2012 that clearly shows it saying ‘Private viewing’.

According to the IMDB website (quoted above), you are committed to accuracy and correct factual information. I am telling you as a member of the production team behind 'Dead Men' that the information on the old page is NOT accurate, correct or factual. It is obsolete and is now becoming a hinderance and a point of confusion. Please, I am asking nicely and trying to help you maintain accurate, factual information on your site. I need to speak to a human being at IMDB (staff) that can assist me urgently and remove the incorrect page.
Unfortunately our position remains the same. If you know of any inaccuracies in out title listing then please feel free to submit an update to our data editors however the title will remain on the site. Please could you clarify the differences between the earlier release and the later 2018 version?
As previously explained, to preserve the accuracy and integrity of our site, we never remove or alter valid/correct factual information and based on our own sources and research, the 2012 title listing will need to remain listed on the site. If there are incorrect episode dates listed you will need to submit the applicable corrections through our online Update form for our editors to review.
To clarify further regarding the separate titles, can you confirm the differences between the 2012 series and the later 2018 version?
This line of conversation is now getting tedious. I can prove that none of the episodes were ever released to the public. You are operating on hearsay and the fact that someone at IMDB approved of release dates to our episodes without any actual evidence back in 2012. IMDB are wrong and now I know , beyond any shadow of doubt, that IMDB do indeed process inaccurate, invalid and not factual information and that your site must be littered with inaccuracies.
Judging by the conversations with other users on this site, I can see that I am not the only one who has discovered this. The fact that you can keep saying things like 'we never remove or alter valid/correct factual information' is just ridiculous . You also keep asking me to confirm the differences between the 2012 series and the 2018 film version and I have already clarified that in previous responses, so please kindly go back and read them.
Apologies for the delay in replying, our editors were re-reviewing the situation regarding the title listings, and upon further review, the titles have now been combined into the 2018 title listing. The change should be live on the site shortly. Thanks again for your patience.
