Web productions & TV series optimisation

As many people already said, IMDb is clearly lacking of the option of web productions. I often noticed people (including my own) had to put web series in the TV series categorie, and web movies as TV movies or even video. I therefore recommend to add the option "web production" and the sub-categories "web series", "web movie" and "web short", maybe also "web mini series" to the new title formular.

I also think, it is time to optimise the season and episode numbers for TV/web episodes, since in thie days, many TV shows produce season-less specials or web shorts. Therefor, in case of a left blank ep. number slot, IMDb should open a episode tipe fileld, where it asks if the episode is a "TV special", a "Web special", a "TV short" or a "Web short". Also, the user should be able to choose the previous and next epsiode for such an episode, since of today, these kind of episodes are always listed as seperate titles or have an "Unknown" season/episode tag and are listed alphabeticly after the regular episodes.

Alex,
You have my vote.

I totally agree that at the very least we should be able to enter an online show as a 'web-series' and not a 'TV show'.....it is about the data being accurate....and at the minute that is being limited by IMDb itself.

There are so many web series that have began already, But by doing this and building a audience using this method could in deed turn to TV for sponsorship and ratings.  Face it we all are in the business to make money, and this is and inexpensive way to do it and at the same time reach our goal of getting it out there for people to see.
