Is IMDB aware of these services and do real people use them? Sounds like a scam or cheating but apparently there are many of them around. Is it actually true that they get real people to click on pages for a fee?

The rumor has been going on for a while, and it is quite plausible.

But nobody has ever shared related URLs here...

Not sure i would be allowed to share them here but a search will return several results. Not sure how true it is though, and if it's true I am not sure what the real benefit would be

Hi Teejee56,
We are aware of these scammers and take measures to identify and filter out any traffic generated via these services.

I'm afraid, the IP-filtering is not enough when the traffic is produced by the users who is unconsciously involved.

I wish they would go to my page. I dropped from 308,000 to 484,000.
