To maintain the effectiveness of the Top 250 Rated Charts, we deliberately do not and will not disclose the criteria used for a person to be counted as a regular voter.
According to its rating, film or show XYZ should be in the Top 250 Rated list but it's missing. Why?As documented on the Top 250 Chart page, only votes from regular IMDb voters are considered when generating the Top 250 Rated out of the full voting database. This explains any difference between the vote averages reported in the Top 250 Rated Charts and those on the individual movie pages, as well as why movies, whose averages make them seem as though they should appear on the list, do not.
