Just few pairs of kids survive the apocalypse. Aliens take them from Earth to another planet looking like a garden and kill everybody else. That's the end of the movie. A lot of other scenes are about guy trying to protect one of the children but gives them up when he realise that's the only way. The kid wants him to come, too but he knows he can't do that.
