The Miracle Worker - 7/10 - also disappointing. I thought Patty Duke was terrible, Oscar not withstanding.

Very tense and interesting. Not undeserving of the Oscar.

Overall production values 8. Overall story and direction content 7. Tokyo Drift got a little silly with the rich jealous poccessive spoiled brat bit happening twice in that film.

2) truckers arming themselves and looking to shoot the harasser. 3) A big race down in Mexico, aka "The International " in the 1955 film and "Car Wars" in the 2001 film. 4) the police chasing the main male lead in both films. 5) The main male leads in both films are violent people who both have a sense of justice and nobility in them. I will admit that is a common movie cliche used in many films. 5) the male leads driving are driving with women who are in love with them which is another old movie cliche. 6) The background story of Dom's past is very close to what happens to Frank Webster in the film (minus the beating with a wrench). Finally the big one, 7) women who not only are experienced racecar drivers themselves, but also own, drive and RACE those fast cars. Remember, in the 1955 film, it is Connie Adair who owns the jaguar. She is seen driving it in the opening scenes and says in the Saddlepeak Lodge scene that she has raced the car and intends to drive it in the international race.
Quote,"truck driver: "Ever race it?"
Connie (nods her heads yes): "Ah ha."
Truck Driver:"Ever look in that race that goes to Mexico. The International "
Connie: " I'm racing it.""
In every Fast and Furious film that Letty is in, she is seen driving the fast car and racing it.
Frankly, between the years of these two films, there is not many films or TV series, (unless it was a Bond film), showing a woman driving a sports or race car or even racing it. It is a short list.
Hey, that is not a bad idea for a poll suggestion. "Which women would you let race your car?" Qualifier she has to a character in a movie or tv series where she drives ether a fast sports car or race car.
Connie Adaire
Letty
Mia "Fast and Furious 4"
Suki "2 Fast 2 Furious"
Ramsey "Furious 7" and "The Fate of the Furious "
Jill Masterson "Goldfinger"
Fatima Blush "Never Say Never Again"
Thelma and Louise (as separate entries)
Honey West "Honey West" tv series, a jaguar
Xenia Onatopp "Goldeneye"
Tracy "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
Fathom Harvill "Fathom"
Shirley Muldowney "Heart Like A Wheel"
Imperator Furiosa "Mad Max Fury Road"
Tricky "Speed Racer"
Care to add any?

I couldn't get Connie Adaire on it because there was no character page for her yet. But I'm working on it!

Car Wars was in San Bernadino County, not Mexico.
