Thought I'd post this here until I hear we're doing it somewhere else....
Post the name of the latest movie you've seen and your rating out of 10.

Today was a day of good laughs for me
Booksmart (2019) 8/10
Here is an ingenious comedy that does not go the easy and mediocre path of today's teenage films
Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure(1989) 7/10
Some ridiculously ingenious moments and very funny science fiction that seems to be simple and silly but is really very intelligent

The Goonies, 5/10. An okay adventure movie, funny to see Thanos as a kid, lol! Really shows off the 80's with a fun song from Cyndi Lauper; it's easy to see where the Duffer Brothers got the idea for Stranger Things, aside from growing up in the 80's themselves. Watch for laugh out loud scene where Chunk names every single bad thing he's ever done. ;)

The Giant Claw, 4/10. Silly movie and AWFUL BIRD but the concept isn't bad and would make a great remake.

Easy Rider (1969) - 6/10, late homage to Peter Fonda, but found it nowhere close to the groundbreaking film it is supposed to be. Jack Nicholson is great and his monologues really worthy. The rest not so much.
Captain Blood (1935) - 8/10, great adventure film. I was 50/50, now I have seen more films than those I'm missing from the 1935 Oscar Best Picture lineup.
México Bárbaro (2014) - 4/10, Mexican anthology horror film that mistakes gross with scary and where half the shorts make no sense.

Pet Semetary (1989), 7/10. Not that great of a movie but a really good horror flick. Would recommend if you wanted to watch a spooky movie.

Because I'm in the mood for Halloween already...
The Woman in Black, 3/10. Slow and dark, couldn't even finish it.
Tower of Terror, 6/10. Aside from Guttenberg's hammy performance, a pretty good "scary" movie with a plot twist near the end. On another note, Melora Hardin (better known as Jan from The Office) has a great singing voice; she shoulda been a Disney Princess. :)

Brittany Runs a Marathon (2019)
5 or a 6/10. And I'm feeling mean. So a 5/10... AKA don't bother unless it's on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

I don't remember if anybody already talked about Chernobyl
(2019) here, but in my opinion basically everybody in the world HAS to watch this tv series (not too young though, because some of the very disturbing graphic images). Never in my life was I so moved and shocked by a tv program than after watching this HBO series, one of the best tv series ever made. And with a message! 10/10

Tarzan's Desert Mystery (1943) 7/10Holds up well despite being 75+ years old.
Johnny W's performance leaves a lot to be desired.
Cheetah however steals the show!!!
Everybody else was good also.
Really cheesy Giant Mutant Jungle animals too.

The Dark Power (1985),
1/10. 10/10 for the Rifttrax commentary. Over 40 minutes into the movie before anything freaking happens.

See, that's why you need a peephole - if you're an airhead who resembles Mick Jagger from the back, you won't open the door to a Trick-or-Treating Anne Hathaway!

While watching The Godfather Part II I couldn't help thinking about how similar Robert Duvall are when he was young and Woody Harrelson now, am I the only one who thinks that?

You sure are in a gangster pictures mood ....
... never noticed that, but Hagen is the true unsung hero of the trilogy, he stayed loyal to the family despite never having the "blood" connection, he failed the Don by letting his heir being easily ambushed and somewhat got temporarily disowned by Michael and at the end of II, Michael never displayed the kind of warmth a man like Hagen was craving for.... damn even Coppola disrespected Duvall by giving him a lousy offer and thus the third film was deprived of what could have been a superb storyline involving the two remaining brothers, that and Sofia ruined the film (which is still good by cinematic standards)

Elm, I just saw The Godfather Part III and, in fact, Duvall's absence is remarkable, no doubt this movie would have been totally different with Tom Hagen in that damn script.

It (2017) - 6/10. I'm easily frightened by jump scares and distorted figures, but except for one or two short instances, this movie didn't have much of an effect on me. I was even bored during some of the 'climaxes'. Maybe there are too many of them. The movie has an aseptic feeling, unlike the 1990 adaptation, and suffers from redundancy. Also, I preferred the ending location of the older version, which was more unique than the haunted house in this one.
