I'm from Germany and used the imdb.de site for over 3 years. I wrote a lot of plot summaries in german language and I used other summaries wrote in german.
Now since some days the imdb.de site is linked to imdb.com and every thing is on english language.
What about my german plot summaries and other discriptions?
Is it possible for me to view them?
Or is all that work I've had in the last 3 years for nothing?
regards
Tom

The IMDb.de site is redirected to IMDb.com -- for more details see:

https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topi...

Translated/specific-language data for the site has not been discarded. Some of it is still displayed to users of the IMDb mobile apps (which support different languages and localization).

Reviews, plot summaries and other language-specific content is all archived so we can resurface it later (e.g. if/when we implement localization options for the main IMDb.com website, e.g. allow users of IMDb.com to set their preferred language/location and display content to them based on these choices).

I also used the german version imdb.de beside imdb.com.
It is funny that imdb.de is offline before it is possible to set a language parameter.
I would like to switch between the languages like i have done before and not to have a fixed parameter in the profile.

puzzled is not the right word for it. ANGRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY DID IMDB DO THIS!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! just one more way in which the site has taken another SWIPE at its faithful viewers. i gotta say, i may just quit the site altogether. this is TOTALLY unacceptable. TOTALLY unwarranted. i suspect it has something to do with ads revenues. who knows. so i have to go buy a TABLET now if i want to access the foreign language pages? that is unbelievable. IT ALL WENT DOWN HILL WHEN AMAZON TOOK OVER. it has steadily declined since then. one thing after another, has been taken away from (the, again, i repeat) FAITHFUL users. i feel so betrayed. so so so betrayed. and there is nothing i can do about it, except to maybe just stop using imdb. you guys are total jerks for doing this to the foreign users. JERKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
