I am running into the same thing in the last 24 hours, the last 8 movies I added half are not showing up and there is a lot missing as well. So what is going on and what can we do to get it back to working correctly?

not only is the new look ugly as hell but the number of movies in my watchlist keeps changing. when you open it it says it contains 1810 titles (which is 300 titles less than it contained a few hours ago), but when you click "next" to display the following 100 titles the number suddenly drops again. if you're gonna do this annoying and needles makeovers at least do them without the bloody bugs!!!

I have the same problem, every time i use the "Sort by" option, the number of titles changes and seems that many titles are missing from the list!

It's most probably a bug. Your movies are still there - just click on 'edit wishlist' and you'll see all of your wishlisted movies.
Anyway, this is still a serious issue for me, could someone make sure imdb staff is aware of this? (Tried contacting them directly, but their support system is just awful)

Hi tcr023,

Previously Compact view on IMDb Watchlist pages served as both a view mode and an advanced edit mode where users could remove/copy/move multiple items. To make the distinction between view mode and edit mode more clear and consistent, on the latest version of the Watchlist page, we have made the Compact view just a view mode.

Users can continue to get to the advanced edit mode for their Watchlist by clicking on the "Edit list" link at the top of the Compact view.

Please note that this change does not affect the Edit list link (the drag and drop edit mode) from the other two views (Grid view and Detail view). That edit mode remains the same as before.

We apologize for any confusion this change might have caused.

It is still impossible to choose films for moving or copying: there aren't boxes to click on!

this still doesnt answer why movies are missing. are you suggesting the way to find a movie now would be to click edit, and search through 20+ pages of movies in my watchlist to find the few hundred that are not showing up in view mode? on top of the few hundred not showing up in view mode, there seem to be closer to 400 that are just gone.

Hi Dabbadoo,
We are actively investigating the report of missing movies from some user's Watchlists. I hope to have more to report later in the day.

IMDB Watchlist not showing all movies..

I use IMDB Watchlist to keep track of all the movies I watch. It was working fine yesterday, and I can still add in new movies I've watched, but for some reason when I click on the watchlist it's only displaying some of the movies I've watched. Is there a reason for this? I noticed the option list at the top of the screen is more detailed and different so I was wondering if it's not displaying all my movies for some reason.

As we are working to fix the issues reported by our users on the new Watchlist experience, we have reverted to the older Watchlist experience. Your watchlist should now work as expected. We appreciate your patience while we work to improve your IMDb experience.

Yea, after you guys reverted back to the new watchlist, my movies started disappearing again. This should really be fixed ASAP because it's really bothersome.

Hi Schmidt-Dudley,

If we can get some additional information from you it will be very helpful in tracking down the problem.  Can you confirm how many titles should be seen in your Watchlist, and let us know what specific titles are missing?  Also, if you can share what browser you are using that would be useful as well!

Hi,
there should be 1.319 Movies. If I go to "Edit list" there are all of the movies. But there you can ́t search and sort for genre etc.
Who many are missing? I can ́t tell but it seems a lot. Here a List of just the newest added movies. "-" marking movies that ARE in the watchlist. While all the others are missing:

Fuck for Forest
-    Jason and the argonauts
Hunt to Kill
Full Metal Village
-     Berlin
The Green Hornet
Mr.Nice
-      Frenzy
Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor
21 Jump Street
Doctor Who (2005 TV Series)
-       THX 1138
Sound It Out
Vinylmania
-       Fright night
Edge of Tomorrw

I am using Firefox. But with my Smartfone f.e. it does not work either.

Hi,
I looked into the problem again.
I now thing it has something to do, witch having over a thousand movies.
Because all the missing movies from the list above are in the watchlist but they start at position 1001.
They are even in the correct order there. If I add a new movie, it could end up on the beginning, where it schould be, or at 1001. :-/
Sorting by List order or by added date, does not make a different.

Just following up here, our staff reviewed your Watchlist but are not seeing the issue of missing titles. If you are always seeing 1,319 items at the top of his list across pages as well when using different sorting, then all the items from your list are being displayed.

However, if you are seeing a different number in your Watchlist when paginating through your list or when applying sorts, then it would be helpful if you could post  a screen shot so that our staff further investigate.

I have exactly the same issue and I'm using firefox.... I will show how this problem looks like.

By the way.... Some additional information: I'm using windows xp and 31.0 firefox version.

Here are some images in different views or in different sort (like ascending, descending)

Now look, here is watchlist and pay attention to first three movies... Now look at the next image. There are shown my last three movies, but only one match with my watchlist.

Those other two movies are in the watchlist when I export watchlist...

I noticed that this happens when I add more then one movie at the time... Then only the last edded movie is shown in watchlist...

One more image with different sort (movie meter)

I hope this will help...

I have problems with my watchlist as well. It's only on the website, the IMDB app (for android) works fine and shows all movies, nothing is missing and everything is in the right order.

The movies I added do show up on the recently added list but not in the full watchlist. In this case the 300 movies should appear above Finding Forrester since I watched those last and they are sorted on date added. Before Finding Forrester and between the Perfect Storm I have 5 other movies that are missing. The movies that show are in the correct order, the 3 added last do not always show in the correct order (in the preview) but that is usually fixed after a refresh. Sadly a refresh doesn't solve the missing movies issue in the full list.

A month ago I had the same issue, but after every refresh there were different movies missing and the total kept changing. Now it stays the same.

I have the same problem as well, the movies are not appearing in the right order in my watchlist.

I also created a topic about this bug, here:
https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/bug_in_the_watchlist
I hope they can fix it, because the watchlist is quite unworkable right now with this mess...

I have a problem with the Watchlist. The total number of films is correct, but many of them are missing, and the order of the films now is not correct too.

We have fixed the issue where customers were seeing titles in different order and/or missing from their Watchlist.

We also deployed a fix to retain the list order number on the Watchlist display (view mode) when sorting by List Order.

We appreciate your patience while we worked through the fixes. If you are experiencing any other issue related to the new Watchlist, please let us know.
