"woman-in-danger" (199 titles)? "woman-in-jeopardy" (542 titles)? "woman-in-peril" (80 titles)?And, then, "damsel-in-distress" (699 titles)?

jeopardy is the most common of the 3 "woman-in-", so merging the other 2 with that seems logical.

Not sure I'd merge "damsel-" in with "woman-". 

"damsel" might imply something about the age/fighting capacity of the victim, or about the type of story, that "woman" does not.
