My clients IMDb page has recently been redirected to an error page. His IMDb has been active over 7 months, top of the google search results under his name, has probably over 20,000 page views and now its gone for no apparent reason?

Is this some vandalism?

Unless all of his credits were deleted individually from every show his name page would not vanish from vandalism of one page (unless he only had one credit and the credit went away for some reason). But if he has more than one credit, all the show pages would have needed to be edited to make them all drop credits.
I'm just guessing here; but sometimes pages go missing for a day or two if there is back end work being done; server migrations, etc
Do you know how long the page has been down?
What is the persons name? How many credits did they have?
Have you searched to see if the system created a new name page with a new ID number? I'm not sure what kind of error causes this, but I have seen it happen before. For some reason a persons original name page may get deleted (because they lost their only credit on a film for example); and than they get a new page auto-generated when a new credit is made for them.
It's hard to think of other scenarios without more info. If it's just a server migration it may fix itself in 24 hours.
If you end up needing to wait for an IMDB employee, their responses tend to be during weekday business hours, so maybe tomorrow (Friday)

Who is your client? It's hard to take a guess knowing nothing other than, that link doesn't work.
One guess would be, maybe he ended up with two pages and they got merged together and is now found at a different url.
Can you add any details? If you, for some reason, don't want it posted here on a forum, you could send a note to the Help Desk via this form

If the pages were actually merged, both n-consts would point to the merged page; that is the big advantage of merging. This is done so that anyone who has either n-const linked will still see the person's page.
On the other hand, if the individual credits were moved, the now empty page might well be deleted..

The page was/is "Brandon Cyrus" and the clients credits were removed out of nowhere several months down the road of having his page listed on IMDb. I don't see the issue that this so called 'editor' is having, whether it's a personal vendetta, but our client is listed all over the internet, including tv.com for his television credits. In over 7 months, our organization hasn't had any problems until the last month with IMDb.
I would understand if the page was removed because the credits notoriously vanished, however, they vanished with no explanation at all and wasn't even responsibly deleted.

Interesting phenomenon! If you search on IMDb for Brandon Cyrus his name pops up at the top of the search but when you click on the link it takes you to the 404 error page. If you search the Web for him, the first listing on Google is the IMDb page which, when you click the link, takes you to the 404 Error page.
I am not savvy enough about the technical aspects of the IMDb database builds, etc, so I have no idea why this would happen. Hopefully one of the more tech savvy Champions can provide a rational explanation OR, perhaps an IMDb staff will pop in with an answer.
Patience will be required here. Oddities are afoot!

In what films has he been given on-screen credits?
I can't seem to find any through other sources
If for example he was listed in the credits of a film in-production; but than the film came out and he was not given an on-screen credit. His credit may have been changed to "uncredited"
If all of his credits were changed to uncredited, than his name page would be automatically hidden from public view
IMDB has a policy that a person requires at least 1 onscreen credit before uncredited work will be made visible. This stops the database from being filled with people who only work as extras with no speaking parts.
They also go through and clear out incorrectly submitted credits for things not eligible:
If he had commercials or video clip credits submitted on IMDB as "shorts", these would get removed if the source work was found to be submitted incorrectly
For the sake of more info here is also the link regarding whether uncredited work will be displayed: http://www.imdb.com/help/search?domain=helpdesk_faq&index=1&file=uncreditedcredits&ref_=...
---
If he has onscreen credits in eligible shows I'm sure this will get cleared up quickly either by someone here submitting his credits correctly or when one of the IMDB staff gets around to looking into this thread

After some more searching, is this the same person?
http://www.tv.com/people/brandon-westly-cyrus/
Are any of those roles credited on screen?
Extra and "boy at pool" sound like they may be uncredited.
Again this is just speculation; but for example if his Divergent credit had been added to the film while it was in-production and than someone went through and changed it to uncredited ~ and everything else was also uncredited. His entire name page would be hidden until an on-screen credit for him was added back to the database.
You may need to submit screenshots of his name appearing in credits for each show that they are visible.

Was his page created because he had credits or created via IMDb Pro?
If Pro, is the subscription still active?
What were the credits for?
Credited on screen, or not?
If so, is someone else credited there? What's the page for the titles look like? Are the credits just gone or given to another name.
Is this happening to one, or more, clients. Do you mean "client's" or "clients?"
Help us help you.
Silly conspiracy theories don't help anyone (least of all you, since you're wasting time coming up with them). Some real information will go a lot further in finding out what the situation is.

Experienced contributors have given good advice here. One screenshot of the name in the credits of a title that is already listed - with enough context to identify the title - is worth more than any number of speculations about other credits or what may have happened in the past.

I've been speaking with a few employees through the help desk and currently meeting with my team to bring some context to this. I'll be back with a better reply as we work towards collecting the source of the information. See you all tomorrow and if you still have more information to add/request please keep dropping it below. Thank you. I really appreciate it!
