When an IMDb staff member marks a question answered, do IMDb staff members continue to monitor the thread? The reason why I am asking this question is that I've seen a few threads where discussion continues after an IMDb staff member answers the question and marks the question answered. An example of which is

Honestly it depends -- once a thread has been marked as answered it's more difficult to keep tabs on it so if there is a new question or topic, it's a good idea to create a new topic -- this makes it easier to find for everyone.

We also have the option to 'fork' or spit a topic into a new one when it becomes clear that the new comments are asking about a different issue but obviously this is possible only when we become aware that it needs to happen..

I wondered about this too with regard to this topic:

I don't think it's reasonable to ask that we start new threads when we are just posting follow-ups to issues already raised.
