Previously, there was a section on the left of the Web page where you can see top lists, and from there you could navigate or search all the public lists on IMDB. But now I can't find this section and can't find the public lists anymore.

Hi Kareem,

Could you provide a bit more information on what you are referring to so we can point you in the right direction?

- You listed this as both an IMDb.com and Android app question - which of these did you notice this section appearing on the left of the page?
- Did you notice this as soon as you arrived on the site/app homepage, or was it after visiting a specific section of the site/app?
- Please give us a general time frame of when you last noticed/used this list feature. A screenshot of where you noticed it missing would be helpful context.

Thanks in advance!

- Steve

Hello Steve, previously when I used to open the website (desktop view on a laptop) there was a section where you can see the lists created by other users on IMDB. Just like the lists you create and make them public. But now this section is no longer there and I can't find a link or entry on the website to view these lists. And I listed this as related to the android app because I tried to look for the same thing on the app but didn't find it as well.

On the desktop, using the standard view of the title page (Not the Reference view), I see what you describe as unable to see, but it's on the Right side of the page:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0014972/

Reference view has been stripped down to be efficient for Contributors. To change to standard view, just use the "Change View" link at the top of a Reference view page, a bit under the Watchlist link:

Dear bderoes, thanks. I see now what you described. But this is only when I open a title, then I can see related lists. Is there anyway to see lists in general? Like top rated lists or most recent lists. Or a way to search for lists by name or the lists that contains a specific movie or actor? Or a way to search for a list by its type? Like "title", "actor/actress", director.....

Well, if you're looking for lists with a specific movie, go to that title page. For a specific person, go to the person's page.

But one of the best tools for searching for lists is actually Google, with the added the parameter "site:imdb.com/list"
For instance, this week I wanted to see the titles in a certain box set of cartoons. So in the Google search box I pasted the name of the box set, added that parameter, and sure enough, someone had created exactly the list I hoped for.

If you search this site (Get Satisfaction) for "search user lists", you'll see several Ideas pitched over the years that you can vote for. I find the Google search satisfies my needs.

A list of most popular lists could be interesting. We have no way to rate lists, so Top-rated isn't possible. I suppose Most-Visited would be. Or Most-Liked.

And with as many users as we have on IMDb, a display of Most Recent lists might change every second.

If you have specific Ideas you'd like to see implemented, you can post a thread here on GS, labeled as Idea (instead of Problem). But make sure to put the key words into the title of your post. I think that is all that the GS search engine looks at.
