Up until a few days ago I could click on the year of a person who had died and I would get a complete list of all who have passed away since January 1st this year. For some reason some other search thing comes up now and I can't find the list anywhere. Anyone know what I do now to get that list?

Thanks for reporting this. Our technical staff has been alerted and they will look into this and fix it at the earliest opportunity. In the meantime, please use Dan's workaround to find the information.
Still having a problem, even with link sent by Dan. I get the page with his http://www.imdb.com/search/name?death... BUT it is frozen at 2,228 and does not progress. Hope this is repaired ASAP, any idea as to when?

I'm puzzled by what you mean by the number is frozen at 2,228. The number of deaths recorded in the IMDb database will not increase until the date of death is recorded. There will typically be a delay between when someone dies and when that death is recorded in the database.
You will note that the last death date recorded is 23 September 2013.

I'm sorry Dan, you're quite right. I had a brain fart and thought it had not changed at all since I last viewed it. Is there any way to get to these lists from somewhere on imdb's pages?

1. From any page select "Advance Search" from the drop down menu. That will bring you to the "Advanced Search" page (http://www.imdb.com/search/).
2. Click "Advanced Name Search." This will bring you to the "Advanced Name Search" page (http://www.imdb.com/search/name).
3. Specify the range of death dates and other criteria. In the example I used 2013-01-01 and 2013-12-31.
4. Click the yellow "Search" button on the bottom of the page.
