Whispers (2015) Over 90 OBVIOUS Fake Reviews

As the title says, this film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1986202/reviews has over 90 glaringly obvious fake reviews and the rest are people complaining about the fake reviews, and yet as soon as a person writes a review saying so, the creators come and post TWO (I am being 100% serious) MORE fake reviews.   The film is only available on DVD for $25 and there are several fake reviews that mention this and where you can get it, and through Redbox rentals for $2 a day, so in essence the filmmakers are using IMDB as a shill site to basically con people into seeing their disaster of a film.  The more this happens, the more IMDB loses credibility.  How does one report this and will anything be done about it?  Here is a link to a trailer on YouTube where people are discussing the fake reviews as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMkdBSRQPgc.  And when I say it is glaring, obvious fakes, well, you should check it out.

Hi J -

If you are aware of bad reviews or review content that violates our guidelines here, please use the Report feature to bring it to the attention of our moderators (click on the Report This link found below the review on the index page and fill the form on your screen) and our staff will then investigate them and take appropriate action.

Thank you, but from what I gather, other reviewers state they have done that but it sometimes works to delete the review, and sometimes not at all, but no action is taken against the title itself.

In any case, I'm done.  I brought it to your attention if you would like to investigate.  If not, it really makes no difference to me other than I have been a member of IMDB since I was around 13 and it's a shame to me to see this happening.  You guys took a stand against the trolls and closed your forums / messaging down, but somehow for a site this huge, the proper contingencies and measures to maintain the integrity of IMDB have not been set in place or are not working.  Have a good one.

Seriously?  Did you get sand in your vag and have to go edit MY reviews instead of researching the movie with the fake reviews?  :)  Too unreal, but cool.  Delete this comment away as well, as I have deleted all my reviews and in a second, my IMDB account.  Rotten Tomatoes is calling. Ciao.

Michelle's reply pretty much sums up IMDb's indifference. We've known for a long time that certain producers swamped IMDb with fake reviews of their new releases but it's never been done so obviously as it is with Whispers. And yet, we have reps reciting the usual plaitudes about the guidelines.

IMDb's reaction to this mockery is going to affect how it is perceived. I'm at the point where I think the site risk only being a marketing tool for studios and if that's the case, I'm not going to read it.
