Who/What entity submits IMDB credits?

IMBD is not made up by personal submissions alone, they have some sort of mass-submission or automated submission element. That is what I am asking about. This, specifically: "Our sources of information include, but are not limited to, on-screen credits, press kits, official bios, autobiographies, and interviews." I need information about how credits have been added to our show page (ie. what sources did those names came from...press kits? bios? etc?). I need to speak to an IMDB representative to ask about specific actors and crew on our show page to find out how their names were submitted to IMDB. These are people who have not self-submitted, but who are showing up as being submitted. Who submitted them? Where did IMDB get their specific names? Once I know where previous, existing submissions to our show page have come from, I can better answer why other people's names have not been submitted yet." 

All submissions to IMDb are confidential, sorry.  This means we will not (and cannot) reveal who submitted any update to any other person, even if they are an official representative of the title concerned. On the flip side, we would never reveal your details if someone else asked for them either so this is a two way street for everyone's own protection and security.  

The only exceptions are items such as reviews, biographies and plot summaries where the submitter has the option to sign their work publicly (and that is only an option not mandatory).

Okay, thank you for that information. So, I cannot find out who/what/where the names that are already submitted came from. Since you are the CEO, maybe you can help me find the words to explain to cast members why their credits have not shown up  when others have. These are people who have never updated their own pages and usually see their credits show up right away without having to ask anyone. They are just confused and it's leading to a lot of confusion because no one on the production or studio side seems to know how to get their credits added en mass. Ie. if IMDB gets credit lists from Entertainment Partners (payroll), then I can go to Entertainment Partners and ask them to re-submit their credit lists to you at IMDB. Or if, say, Studio Publicity sends lists to IMDB, then I can get in touch with the right person there, so that they can send you an updated list. Do you know what I mean? Let me know if I need to word this differently. 

Thanks for clarifying. The simple answer is the credits are not on IMDb because nobody has submitted them to IMDb. It's a little trite but it is the root cause of the problem. No single entity whether in payroll, publicity or wherever, is responsible -- if someone spots missing or inaccurate data then they should hit the "Edit page" button. 

When the documentation above refers to official sources, what we mean is that people from the production (or official reps of talent) are clicking the "Edit page" button and sending the data to IMDb. We do not offer a bulk upload system, because once you know what you are doing, there's nothing which could be much faster, especially if it's a show with multiple episodes and a relatively regular cast and production team. Many productions assign someone from the team to be responsible for sending updates to IMDb; this can be at any level: we have well-known directors updating their own productions and others where a production assistant intern handles it.

Let's take a specific example.  Let's say you are working on season two of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel" then you would go to the title page for episode 2.1 and press the "Edit page" button to land here and chose to add 10 cast credits:



press the "Continue" button and then use "Click here to copy existing credits from the series or other episodes" (red highlight below) to navigate to season 1, and with 10 clicks you can, for example, cue up the top 10 cast additions:



If your show does not have any episodes added to IMDb yet, add the first one, wait for everything to be processed, and then the second and subsequent episodes will be a breeze to add and update.
