Some experts have explained that IMDB isn't a streaming site. Ok. So why offer a Watch list that everyone is going to interpret as a place to "watch", but really isn't? (BTW, the FAQ doesn't explain this oddity)
The 'Watchlist' feature is intended to be a easy and great way to track movie and TV shows you would like to watch once you discover a title which you may be interested in.
So if I add shows I would "like to watch" (as you say) how do I watch them? If I actually can't, it's not a watch list but a track list, or an "Interested in" list, is it not? It's like saying, We're going to give you a place to list movies you'll then need to spend hours and hours of time trying to locate, correct?
