Why are the movies' titles in portuguese?

I really would like to use the Android app but I can't because the titles aren't displayed in English :-(

I live in France but I watch all the movies in English so I really don't know (and really don't care) the French titles.

Now I'd like to use the app but as the titles are displayed in French (which is really stupid as everything on IMDB is in English), the app is really useless to me.

So please, just give us the option to display the titles in English if we wish.
Why are you so stubborn and don't want to offer that possibility, I really can't understand :-/

After more than a year of struggling, the titles seem to be finally back in English on the site, it's about time.

Now it would be nice to get the same thing with the app.
The app seems nice, but I've never used it and won't use it as long as the titles are in French (for me, I live in France).

I really can't understand why you persist in putting the titles in the language of the country where IMDB is accessed when all the content of IMDB is in English, that's completely absurd !!!

You could at least give us the choice to have the titles (and the entire app at the same occasion) in the language that pleases us, but apparently you prefer pissed off readers :(

I have a new smartphone with Android System.
I have the system in spanish, but I prefer some apps in english.
I had the OS system in english and when I installed the IMDB app it was automatically installed in english.
However, when I change the language of the OS to spanish, the language of the IMDB app changed automatically to spanish.

The problem is that I can not change the language of the IMDB app to english.
I tried to reinstall it, i looked in the configuration, etc.
With the app in spanish I can not check for example the Parents Guide.

Someone can help me?

The android app is unusable because the title aren't displayed in English (they're displayed in the OS language).

It's been asked hundred times on those forums for the app, but also the web site, but the IMDB hasn't done anything to fix the problem.

So instead of merging the numerous topics, just fix the problem.

It's not like we're asking for an extra work, it's just the opposite: just don't translate those damn titles and leave them in English !!!!

That's really sad, I really can't understand why they force us to have the titles in the OS language.

I don't know who is in charge and decided it would be THAT WAY (and no other way), but that IS really a stupid decision.

I never use the android app because of that, and each time I go on the site and I see titles translated in my language, it makes me really frustrated :(

The only solution at the moment is to change the language of your OS and set it to English. Then ALL the titles will be in English AS THEY SHOULD BE (but that's not a solution, as for myself I just don't use that crappy app because of that).

But apparently some people at IMDB are completly stubborn and don't listen, and prefer pissed off readers rather than offering an option to have the titles displayed in English or rather having the titles NOT TRANSLATED in the OS language, ( maybe thinking it'll help sales on Amazon ???).

But I wouldn't put my hopes too high as  it's been asked numerous times to fix that problem but IMDB as never done anything to fix that (which is a shame as it is very easy to fix: JUST DON'T TRANLATE THOSE DAMN TITLES !!!).
