I have been trying to change my summary on my imbd page for my new tv series and it won't let me for some reason. Every time I press edit, it will appear but won't give me the option to correct it. I need it changed as it is no longer the proper summary for the series.

Maurice: Which show is it and what part of the summary needs to be changed? This will help the contributors here investigate the problem.

The item on that page marked Summary is actually the Plot Outline. It is intended to be displayed on the Overview page, while the Plot Summary is shown on the Plot Summaries page.
The Plot Outline is only 2 or 3 lines long, so it will fit in the allowed space, while the Plot Summary is intended to give a somewhat more detailed description (10 - 30 lines).
IMDb is not likely to remove the only Plot Outline for a film; they may change it if you submit an Update that is of similar length (no longer).
As to Episode summaries:
In what way would IMDb not allow you to add summaries to the Episodes? I see that you have now added a summary to Episode 1.1.
Note that there is usually a delay of 36 - 48 hours from the time that an Episode (or any other Title) first shows and the time it is available for editing.
