Why can't merge titles with different year? How to do it in one update?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt7141890/ Hou Gong Gui Ying (2017), Chinese title 后宫诡影.

Same Antony Szeto's horror movie.

Merge update notice:

This correction has been rejected. You need to correct this correction before it will be accepted.
  • The year in the new title must match the year in the old title. 
"People who liked this also liked... " of Hou Gong Gui Ying (2017) has recommend Palace of the Damned (2013):



Must do in an update of Title Correction after Release Dates addition?

I tried to replicate this from my end and the merge contribution should work fine. However please make sure to 'acknowledge' all the error boxes that appear on the submission form once you 're-check your update'. Of particular interest, pay attention to the following: 'You need to submit the correction so that the old/outdated/incorrect title is changed to the current/correct title, not the other way around. '

Could you help me to check the status of my update #171013-024811-840000?

This film is on release in  17 November 2017 (China) and title has changed as Shen Gong Yuan Ling (深宫怨灵).

I found the problem: Palace of the Damned (2013) was defined as TV movie, the correct title must input with '(TV)'. The new update has been submitted.
