'Spooks' is the 2002 British TV show by the BBC. It is known as 'Spooks' everywhere apart from the USA, Czechia, France and Hungary where it is known as 'MI-5'. 'Spooks' is the official and worldwide name. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0160904/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dt#akas

'Spooks: The Greater Good' is the 2015 British spin off film of the TV show 'Spooks'. It is known as 'Spooks: The Greater Good' everywhere apart from the USA and France where it is known as 'MI-5'. 'Spooks: The Greater Good' is the official and worldwide name. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3321300/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_dt_dt#akas

Both the pages themselves display the correct names..

Therefore 'Spooks' and 'Spooks: The Greater Good' should be the names which appear when searching IMDB, or appear on Google right?

Yet they both display the American names.

How can the names which appear when searching IMDB be changed, and how can I get Google to display the correct names?

How do you have your IMDb preferences set?

If you request the American title, that's what you should get. When I switch to Original, I see Spooks on the title pages.

I see this when I search for Spooks on Google:

Notice it shows the original title in the descriptive text. Google knows I'm in America, and frequently translates things for me without my asking. Perhaps it also displays the US version of the title based on the same algorithm.

Tried it.
Changed IMDB settings to 'original' - Still doesn't display the correct name.
Changed IMDB settings to 'United Kingdom' - Still doesn't display the correct name.
Changed Google settings to 'United Kingdom' - Still doesn't display the correct name.
I'm sick of everything British being Americanised.
You'd expect IMDB at least to display the original title when searching, not the American rename.
It's no wonder people in America are always asking questions about British shows/films, or recommending British shows/films using incorrect names, as that's what they're seeing from IMDB.
