Why do some pages list cast, and then have a separate section for "Rest of Cast Listed Alphabetically:"?

Why do some pages list cast, and then have a separate section for "Rest of Cast Listed Alphabetically:"?

For example, see here:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9165422/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast

I have noticed that this is done sometimes, but not always, for credits on this series.

I worked on this episode as a cast member and I was credited.
I suspect that some of the people listed in the "rest of cast" section are either extras or uncredited. I don't know for certain, but I have seen this in other cases.

My on screen credit reads "Security Guard."

Will my credit, when added, appear in the Rest of Cast section?
If so, why not the main section?

Steve,

In this case, you've mentioned that your name did appear in the credits. Did you make sure to include the cast order number to your submission? Please post the 18-digit reference number so an IMDb representative can review the submission and respond.

It would be fair to say that for any cast or crew list on an IMDb title page is incomplete when the project just aired a few days ago, as in the case of the page link you posted.

Anyone with an IMDb user account or an IMDbPro account who has seen or participated in the project can add any missing data to the title.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for responding. I still do not understand why there is a "rest of cast" section. Can you explain the purpose for that?

Steve,

Rest of cast section are names that have not been designated order numbers.
