Why does The Expendables 3 just say The Expendables?

So I just noticed The Expendables 3 page says The Expendables. That's obviously the title of the first film, not the third.

It does say The Expendables 3 as the original title but I'm pretty sure that should be it's one and only title.

I thought about trying to fix it myself but it rejects the change saying it has no effect because that is the title and I also don't want to mess anything up.

It says the title should be what it says in the opening credits. I confirmed that it says The Expendables 3 in the opening by watching it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cbl0yOodXNg

Cameron: I believe this is caused by one of the Alternate Titles at https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2333784/releaseinfo.

On that page, you will see that one of the Alternate Titles supposedly used for this film in the USA is The Expendables. Although The Expendables 3 is the official IMDb title for this film, often an Alternate Title for the USA will be displayed in preference to the official IMDb title (if one has one's content settings set for "Title display country/region" of "United States"). However, as you indicated, this particular Alternate Title does not make sense because that was the same title as the first movie in the series.

I recommend submitting a deletion for the Alternate Title The Expendables with an explanation that there is no evidence that The Expendables 3, the third film in the series, is also known as The Expendables which is the exact same title as the first film in the series.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much for the help. I have requested for it to be deleted as an alternate title.
