I have tried to remove a credit for many years and although i get an email that the request is being processed, I never get it resolved or hear back at all. I'm incredibly frustrated since i have been attempting this for over 4 years.

Lindha: Please post your last full data submission here on this message board. You can copy it out of the receipt you would have received from IMDb by e-mail immediately after sending it in. Some of the regulars on the board may review it and, if they can, they may provide suggestions as to how to improve the submission to get it included in the database. (Also, please include the submission reference number -- it's an 18-digit number that will look something like 190123-123456-789000.)

Hello Lindha,
It’s always very difficult to prove that you didn’t do something. Especially if someone else says you did do it. What job was it that you are credited for? In which title?

Your best chance is if you can show that it was done by someone else.

Lihnda, As Grommit82 requested, the 18 digit number will make it easy for staff to find your requests.

You can find those 18 digit numbers here at,
https://contribute.imdb.com/contributions/history
or here
https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history/?ref_=helpms_ch_ci_history

Could you post your contribution numbers here.

Also as Steve requested, the Name of the project in question would be nice too.
Thank you.
Cheers.

Hi, Lindha Narvaez.

Since you keep providing no specific information when addressing the problem, no wonder it took 4 years. When incredibly frustrated, it's good to try deep into details to analyse.

If I'm not mistaken, the point for your frustration may be Gilette Uncut Music Film Series. There is no reasons to keep silence for this or other title from your page (again if it's yours).

The series seem to be commercials that were added to IMDb in a wrong way, and have no further contribution for the episodes. Hence, it's a point for the editors to decide further: to keep or not to keep as it is.

The series were produced by "GreenLight Media" in assosiation with "Milkt Films". The latter is mentioned on your IMDb-page, but your name is not mentioned now on the company's site. Moreover, you are not credited in the film series. So, as minimum, Lindha Narvaez should not be added to the series as a credited crew.

As I see, a contributor might add Lindha Narvaez to the series on the only basis: she was an executive producer for the Milkt Films (it is alluded by the title of the link to official site). If she was not during the period of production or not at all, this problem needs no further explanation...

Anyway, we may check the official channel for how GreenLight Media had credited the "Gillete Uncut" products.

In addition, I found some online mentions where we see only Danny Clinch involved for sure:
Gillette UNCUT Film Series Features Tim McGraw
The All-American Rejects
Will.i.am

And deeper into the credited stuff, here is the youtube links:
Will.I.Am
Tim McGraw
Mark Hoppus
All American Rejects

All of them have the similar structure for end titles with no "Lindha" mentioned:

Yes, I know the above is not "a small indie feature", but it's investigated following the way as it is initially claimed.

... And never forget it can be a case of homonymy: someone bearing the same name as you, being duefully credited, but the credit mistakenly assigned to you.

OK, I admit is rather unlikely with your name...

HI everyone- Wow. This is the most response I've had in the years Ive tried contacting imdb directly so thank you. The credit which i did not perform is listed as "assistant to director" for a film called "Lost Revolution". What is interesting is that there is another film with the same credit which I actually did do and from the same production company. Any help with this is appreciated. Its' really frustrating since IMDB is known to be accurate and a resource in the industry.

Lindha,

You mean that the same production company produced two different movies with the same title at about the same period? This is rather unusual.

Could you please provide the IMDb links to these titles?
And could please also provide the 18 digit submission numbers corresponding to your submission, as request a couple of times above?

Well, this is discouraging. Can someone please find this screen credit like MAthePA did up top of this thread? I consider this credit damaging since it is not accurate. At that time , i was running my own production company in LA and according to IMDB, I was also an assistant to a director in NYC?

Lindha, only Will works at IMDb. The rest of us donate our time. If you want something done right, do it yourself. Please don't ask "Us" to do the research "You Need" to prove your point.
Thanks

thanks for clarifying. Will, can you let me know what i need to remove this credit? I have tried to find the film but can not. If i can hunt down the director, and he submits a letter confirming I did not do this, then will that suffice?

Hi Lindha -

If you are able to obtain a copy of the film and can provide sufficient evidence to back your claim (such as a linked screen grab to the full end-credits), our staff will be happy to take another look.  However, in the meantime, as Will mentioned, we believe the data listed is factual and we cannot remove this credit.
