Why is a Golden Globe award highlighted before an Emmy award? Are the Golden Globes more important for IMDb?

I was looking for Bryan Cranston's IMDb Profile and wanted to know which awards he got for Breaking Bad. Then I realized on the award preview there is the Golden Globe award highlighted before any Emmy award he got? Does this have any main reason, for example does IMDb see the Golden Globe more important than the Emmy?

I'm looking forward for your feedback. Thanks a lot. Jan.

Hi Jan -

Just following up here to confirm the current Award display.  We list Major Award events first, in the following order:
  • Oscar

  • Golden Globe
  • Primetime
  • Emmy
  • BAFTA Film Award

Any additional award data will then display in alphabetical order by the name of the event.
