This movie is ignored it has 100k votes and 9.0 on rating. Is it because of bots or something?

Severe vote stuffing. Maybe?
The 1st movie got 17,000 votes. DAG (The Mountain)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5813916/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt

The sequel gets over 5 times the votes.
And only 9% of the votes are 2-9
It may have a hold on it while it is investigated.
It may be one of those things that we are not aware of that sets off an internal red flag.
IMDb kind of policing itself before a complaint is made about vote stuffing.
Because it sure looks like it.
This is out of whack also.
16 reviews and a 100,000 votes....Doesn't make sense!!!

Hi cinephile,

Thanks for your post.

I've passed this onto our tech teams for investigation now.

Thanks,

The top 250 only consider regular voters, though IMDb doesn't really disclose what that is. If you look at the "Top 1000" voters, it has a weighted average of 5.1 so that might explain why it is "ignored".

Then, if it is no botted (I THINK THAT IT IS BOTTED) and they only consider ''regular voters'' maybe IMDB should review their definition of regular voters because this movie has 87% of 10 on 10 reviews.

I don't know.

I'm guessing that most of those 10 votes have few or no other votes for other movies and are correctly ignored.
