Why Israel is not included in the Certifications list in the parents guide for movies?

My first impression upon discovering the parents guide and all it offers was "oh how helpful" i can check the rating of the movie, only to find out apparently IMDB doesn't feel moviebuffs in Israel matter enough to add the status of movies in their county?

Too often i see a helpful tool on a site which is country based with a long list containing pretty much all relevant countries, but rarely my country, it is disappointing and especially with how Israel is bullied on the international stage by ignorant people, this might seem like an over reaction, but i don't think so, the small things matter, out of sight out of mind, please recognize us, we exist, and we deserve the same service you provide everyone else.

Hi, Yuri Rudman.

In addition to the comprehensive answer from Jeorj, here is a little note: as a contributor you may need "to add the status of movies in their county" for those movies where it's not added yet. Thank you in advance.

or in summary ... if we do not have the data it is simply because nobody has sent it to us yet.  Please join our contribution community and help complete the gaps in the certificate data for your country.

BTW, thank you Col, and thank you Yuri. This thread and the above answer helped me to revise one important thing (that may result in laugh now).

Long time ago I tried the same features for Ukrainian certificates and finished from start with this:

Since "Banned" is the only variant for Ukraine in the list, this made me believing the Ukrainian system of certificates is banned for inclusion as a whole for some reasons.

When this current topic discussed, I check for news on this matter in that list and see the same, but (ta-dam!) now I understand the "Banned" might be added as an option by Russians for some of their films produced after they started the hybrid war on the territory of Ukraine. So I'll try to find some time for a fresh deeper investigation on their certificates...

MAthePA, sarcasm aside I can remember at least five titles banned in Ukraine for extreme violence, however I'm not sure whether ban is there for video releases.

..."banned for extreme violence" and for other less strict reasons -- these may occur for all countries in the list, especially for China, but Ukraine is the only one in the IMDb list where "Banned" is an option and the option.

PS: aha, found three more: Egypt, Iraq, Kuweit.
