I am credited for a film that was never completed, and I wish to remove these credits on my main profile: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3225711/

The name is the film that was never completed is "Kely": http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1754009/

I have submitted a request to remove my credits for this film 4 times over many months, but nothing has changed.

How do I remove these credits? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

If it was never completed, I suppose the best approach is to remove the whole thing (rather than people try and remove themselves individually).

Hopefully, staff will stop by and give further advice on this.

Thanks, how do I remove an entire film listing? I tried to remove every credit separately in the past, but nothing was changed or removed.

Removing credits is always difficult, as the assumption will be that someone played that role (even if it isn't the person currently credited with it) and this gets even trickier in this case as there was no film (one of the reasons IMDB makes it difficult for films to get listed before they are released, as it means they need to clear up films and finding out if something wasn't released is tricky, like proving Santa doesn't exist.

Basically you (and I) can't delete films (it should really be an option but is too easy to abuse and things could rapidly go wrong) but you've now flagged it up here and it should get the attention of staff who will kick it over to the data processing team or give us better advise on how to proceed.

If IMDb do consider deleting the title, they may look into any evidence for the film's release.

Looking at Google results for the film, there are mentions of a premiere screening in 2008 and participation in a competition called The Indie Fest, which doesn't seem to back up the claim that the film wasn't completed. On the other hand, this may not be enough to make the film eligible for listing.

Yes, my above replies do rather rest on the assumption that this wasn't released.

Is this the link to the mention of a premiere?

The Indie Fest is an odd one:

Weirdly, the page at the first link is now gone.

Thanks for everyone's help and insight so far.

The Indie Fest submission was never permitted, and the festival seems to accept every submission with an "Award of Merit" title regardless of quality. According to IMDB guidelines, for this reason and others the film is not a credible listing, and it would be appropriate for the film to be removed. I have requested this more than once, and I hope it can be acted upon.

As per the IMDB guidelines:

"For a work to be eligible for inclusion in the database it must be of general public interest and should be available to the public or have been available in the past."

The film in question was never:

- Released in cinemas.
- Shown on non-local TV.
- Released on video or prints have been made available to the public (See exceptions below on limited distribution titles).
- Listed in the catalog of an established video retailer.
- Accepted and shown on film festivals that don't accept everything regardless of its quality (if you have doubt, see this page for details).
- Made by a (now) famous artist or person of public interest.
- Made famous for some reason and is widely talked about/referenced in non-local media or the 'film community' or is now of general historic interest for some reason.

So you are saying it might have been "released" (someone other than the cast and crew have seen it) but not in any way that meets IMDB's criteria for release?

It was never released. While it may exist in some form or other (uncompleted), it definitely does not meet IMDB's criteria for release.

But they must have posted something to the Indie Fest and there does seem to have been a premiere (although that link no longer seems to work).
