Why can't I see the names of lists I created in the Watchlist dropdown menu?

How come when I creat a new list I cant see it in the 'Watchlist' drop down menu? I created a list for tv shows but when I click on the drop down menu on the page of a tv title all I see are my old lists - not the new one I created. Seems stupid to have the option to make a list that I can't easily add titles to...

Newly created lists don't tend to turn up in the dropdown menu for a while (could e an hour or so, although I'd wait a day or two before thinking there is a problem). I assume it is part of the way IMDB builds pages.

What I tend to do is start the new list in one tab and look up films in another, copy and pasting the like across into the new lists search box (as this will give you one result for the film you want). So I can get the first draft of the list fleshed out quickly and when it comes round to dropping other films in as I find them, the list will have appeared on the list by then.

I created my third list 8 MONTHS AGO and it still only shows the first two lists I created...

I have this problem on the web version of IMDB and despite waiting weeks, my new lists don't appear. I've tried other browsers, clearing cache, cookies, etc.
