Why Did a Video Thumbnail Drop Off My IMDb Name Page?

In August 2013 a video thumbnail for a student film I acted in appeared on my IMDb name page. It's one of my favorite shorts, so I was happy to see the thumbnail on my IMDb name page video gallery. (The thumbnail linked to the film on my YouTube channel.)

I asked IMDb Help how that happened. They said IMDb title pages with uploaded videos automatically post video thumbnails for that title on name pages of cast and crew.

But the film wasn't uploaded on its IMDb title page! There was no title page video thumbnail. All the title page had was this text link: "YouTube - Full movie (Flash)".

I pointed that out to IMDb Help, but they never replied. So the question remains: How did the video thumbnail for a YouTube link get on my IMDb name page?

Unanswered, I was nevertheless glad the thumbnail was there. That is, until today!

Six months after the video thumbnail appeared on my IMDb name page, today (Jan 14, 2014) it DROPPED OFF!

So I now have THREE questions:

1) How did the video thumbnail first get on my IMDb name page? (Since the video is on YouTube. And on its IMDb title page, all it has is an external text link, with no video thumbnail.)

2) Why, after the video thumbnail was in my IMDb name page video gallery for SIX MONTHS, did it suddenly DROP OFF?

3) Can I get the video thumbnail BACK ON my IMDb name page video gallery?

Can you provide a link to your profile and to the title for the video?

Here's the title page.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1815811

I'm the sole actor. Click on my name for my name page, which used to have "3 videos" (including a YouTube thumbnail for "Low"), but now (alas!), has "2 videos" (lost the "Low" thumbnail yesterday, after it was up for 6 months!)

If you look at "external sites" on the "Low" title page, you'll see two (identical) text links to the YouTube video. Freaked when the video thumbnail on my name page dropped off, I quickly added another "external clip link" to the title page, hoping it would bring back the video thumbnail to my name page. It didn't.

"Low" is my FAVORITE short film. I wanted its thumbnail on my name page. It's what I wanna be remembered for. If you can help bring its video thumbnail back to my name page, I'll be grateful.

Me:

My Profile:

"Low":

I deleted one of the two identical YouTube text links on the "Low" title page. It now has only one. Which is all it had when the video thumbnail for "Low" was on my name page video gallery for SIX MONTHS.

You now have links for my name page, profile & the "Low" title page. Can you tell me why the "Low" video thumbnail was dropped from my name page after being there for SIX MONTHS?

Emperor,

Are you there?  I gave  you all 3 links!

Why haven't you replied?

Oh sorry, I was convinced I'd replied to this - anyway it looks like the video thumbnail has been removed from Low, so it will naturally be removed from your name page. Quite how or why this happened, but I do wonder if your deleting the video link caused it or it was just a coincidence. I am not 100% sure how the thumbnails for external sites work (as I've never tried to add or remove one), it is possible it will return or perhaps not.

Perhaps another champ or a member of staff can chip in on this.

You're ignoring points in my original post!! Read it!! Specifically:

1) The film "Low" was never uploaded to IMDb.

2) There NEVER WAS a video thumbnail on the "Low" IMDb title page.

3) Despite #1 & 2, for SIX MONTHS there was a video thumbnail for "Low" on my IMDb name page.

4) When I asked IMDb Help how that happened, they (like you) revealed they hadn't understood me. They said films uploaded to IMDb get video thumbnails, which then appear on cast name pages. (Ignoring what I'd said in #1 & 2!)

Text URL external links on IMDb title pages DON'T PUT video thumbnails on IMDb title or cast name pages. (There are several IMDb films with text URL links on title pages which NEVER put video thumbnails on my name page.)

There are 33 IMDb employees. Do you know any? Can you get one to read this post and answer questions? (I have a current question submitted to IMDb Help which hasn't been answered.)
