The photo strip beneath some cast/crew listings have disappeared.

I was told that this was because they were submitted and tagged through the Posters service and not the IMDbPRO cv route.

This is not true. There are many thousands of cast/crew who have a photo strip on their profile.

If each photo is submitted at $10 a pop then they should be visible in a photo strip for EVERYONE.

Not fair. If the money has been paid then the photo strip should be visible.

It was before, but recently they have disappeared on several profiles.

This needs to be fixed.

The first person has uploaded photographs using their IMDB Pro subscription and gets a strip:

The other person has production stills on their page and doesn't get a photo strip.

I am unsure what is "unfair" here - perhaps part of the IMDB Pro subscription pays for a photo strip... After all, it provides optional extras to fancy up someone's page, so it'd make sense.

However, if they have disappeared recently it might be a bug or it might be a change in policy.

Nope. Not true.

The second person never was a member of IMDb Pro and had a photo strip up until about 6 weeks ago. Then it disappeared.

The first person uploaded photos via IMDb Pro AND Posters.

I already explained this.

That is what I said. The other person's photographs seems to be from production stills, so they are different types of photographs. Which might be why they are being treated differently.

No, you're still not getting me.

The photo strip for Tina Doyle disappeared (as well as some others). It was there and then it disappeared.

Meanwhile hundreds of thousands of other people listed STILL HAVE PRODUCTION STILLS in a photo strip.

Then you should give examples of people who have only production stills in their gallery and a photostrip.

I could have given many examples up until a few weeks ago.

If production stills do not qualify for a photo strip now then that should apply to everyone, not just some. I have paid hundreds of dollars in photo submissions and to see the photo strips disappear was very annoying and unfair.

To add to your point, the images do show up on name pages in the old reference view:

On the other hand, I don't think IMDb makes any promise to Poster Service customers that their photos will appear on name pages at all:

Just for the record, Col Needham posted a reply at Contributors Help that they were going to look into a fix:

I know. But that was a while back. I don't want to seem like I don't appreciate the help. I do.
