Beverly Hills Cop is listed as #1, and Ghostbusters isn't even on the list. Ghostbusters was released in June of 1984, and Beverly Hills Cop was released in December of 1984, so it can't be an issue of how much of the earnings were in 1984, and besides, the title on the page says it all:

"Top-US-Grossing Titles Released In 1984"

Released in, not earning in. So, what gives?

Actually, it is on the list at #56, with an improper listing of only $6.72 mil. Huh?

The numbers seem right on the main business page:

Is it just this film or others? Nothing else in that year stands out as being wrong.

Yes, it's some kind of glitch. Ghost Busters grossed about $238 million so the film should appear at the top of the list. The $6.72 refers to the total gross for the film for a brief theatrical re-release which occurred in late 1985. I will let the right people know about this, though it will probably be a while before we can fix the actual number. Apologies for the confusion!

Figured it was something like that. But since the data was correct on the movie page, I figured it had to be an odd glitch somewhere. Thanks for getting on it so quickly.
