Will they or not? This is in regards to "New Parents Guide" and "Plot Page Update". If they are, as I've warned before, IMDb's own software updates will the effect of defacing hundreds of them due to prior uses of various kinds of HTML/BBS markup features. Also, what about character biographies? Please provide an answer to the question, if an answer is available.

Hi Jeorj -

We are currently evaluating the status of our FAQ pages and considering future changes.  I would encourage you to keep an eye out for any announcements made within the community as we will post a public announcement to confirm if/when changes have been made.  Cheers!

Well, please keep the feature that allows us to link to external sites, in addition to text stylizing. FAQ pages deserve to be dynamic.

The FAQ feature will be moved to the new technology platform soon as we have done with parents guides and plot synopses.
That sounds good, although given the recent changes regarding some other issues, I first want to see and work with it before I'm over the moon about this.

I don't really want it to change at all apart from the platform itself. Swiki should be able to work on the new platform, or better yet, some adaptation of MediaWiki.

Col Needham, you or your team chose to make the announcement after publishing the changes. Is there a specific reason for that?

We are not 100% sure of the intention of your question here.  We almost always make announcements after vs. before launching a feature, unless it is in a limited private beta; it is easier if people can use the new feature after they read about it via an announcement.

We have been listening to customer feedback on inconsistencies, complexities and outright bugs between IMDb features on different platforms and, as explained on https://getsatisfaction.com/imdb/topics/upcoming-changes-to-several-imdb-features-du6man1opd5q0, we are fixing these at quite a pace right now so we can move even faster in future. Think of it like pruning a garden so it can better grow in the next season.
