I just submitted my update for a short film I produced and I just got an e-mail stating 'Please can you resubmit the title, providing another URL with information that helps verify the existence of this piece; the URLs you have provided do not show enough information about the title - the Vimeo page you linked does not appear to have a video embedded in it, or the video does not play.' I have double checked this link and it works perfectly for me. I re-uploaded it just to be safe. I'm not sure what else I can do at the moment. I would like this project to show up on IMDb soon. What can I do to assure this process happens faster? The short stars an A-lister so I understand the strict guidelines. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Generally, to be accepted you need a few links to sites which discuss your film (so if you had a horror short you could get coverage at somewhere like Bloody Disgusting) as there are, obviously, a lot of short films out there and they need to know that these are worth of mention.

I have also found a few problems with Vimeo and any embedded videos from them don't work for me (probably some clash with the version of Flash o my Flash blocking addons), or it might just be that when they checked there was a problem on the site - they get a lot of submission and so if they can't get the video to play when they are checking it they won't So it might be an idea to add it to YouTube as well and throw in both links.

However, if you are uploading it elsewhere it might be an idea to upload it to IMDB's sister site Withoutabox as this can automatically create your IMDB page:
http://www.imdb.com/help/show_leaf?im...

That said, it does sound like the main hurdle was the video not playing and it might just be you need to click the resubmit button. Can you copy and paste in your submission and the response you got? That way someone can spot if there is another problem with your submission.
