It's about time IMDB created an app for Windows 8 and RT. I imagine they could make a great one similar to the Windows Phone 8 one quite easily, and I would love to use that on my Surface RT.

Anyone else waiting on this app? It's been long enough now!

Yes I would like an app. The one for windows phone is no where near the quality of the one for iOS. Please update the windows phone app and create an app for W8.

The Windows phone app is horrible. Its near unusable. It needs an update and fast. And the wait for a Windows 8 app is absolutely ridiculous. Terrible.

I completely agree. the Windows Phone app hasn't been updated since June 2012, and in today's world, that's an abandoned app. Honestlym, IU could find another site that had the wealth of information available at imdb.com that had a decent app, I'd be there in a heartbeat, and I've been a member of imdb.com for almost as long as the site has existed (12 years under this ID).

Unfortunately at this time we have no plans to develop a Windows 8 app. If this ever changes, we will be sure to announce it here.

Sorry!

Since the badly designed Windows Phone app hasn't been updated since June 2012, I would actually hate what kind oif mess imdb.com would make with an actual Windows 8 or RT app. I find that I am less and less happy with imdb.comas a whole, and their lack of support for Windows only amplifies that.

Apparently a company going by the name of Photo Editor has decided to charge 9.99 for an IMDB application going so far as to use the official IMDB logo and very nearly verbatim the description of IMDB from the page.  If you are not goint o make an APP then please exercise your legal rights and kill the app in the store.

It is really a shame that there is no Windows 8 app.

Please reconsider looking into making one

How can it be that you ignore growing Windows 8 community completely? I used the imdb for many years now but I'm so dissapointed now. At least, you could optimize your website for touch displays! It really needs a relaunch, doesn't look modern at all right now...

On Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 I like Flixster, I also like movie ShowTime which has a different purpose (find theaters around you)

I like Flixster but it is more like Fandango than iMDB. Flixster does not allow me to search for an actor and the content is much more limited.

Since official IMDb windows phone app lacking I was able to do the following. I "pinned" the IMDb home page from IE Brower to my windows phone. I selected "mobile view". I now have all the features that I had in the IOS app version. Hope
this helps.

Yes, this is what I am currently doing on my Surface. It works, but there is no substitute for a native app (IMO).

I would like to add my voice to those requesting a proper Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 app. I am a big fan of iMDB and I have turned in my iPad for a Surface. iMDB is probably my #1 app (besides email) that I use on my mobile devices. I hope that you will respect me as a valuable consumer and support my preferred OS of choice.
