Would it be possible to make the cast lists spoiler free? I'm watching a tv show on dvd and wanted to check something on IMDb - but just by going to the main page for the show in question I knew that two of the main characters would die since they were listed in fewer episodes than some of the other main characters.

Would it be possible to add a "watch in detail" feature and list the number of epidodes for the characters there? I hate being spoiled just by looking at the main page.

Thank you!

A cast member's episode count depends on someone updating for every episode. For example, a character may be in all 13 episodes of a season, but that cast member may not have been submitted for all the episodes, showing them in less 13 episodes. Just because they are not listed, does not mean they are not in that episode.

However, I do see your point and it could be fixed. Another suggestion on here pointed out sometimes a listed cameo can spoil a movie, so perhaps cast lists could default to "spoiler free" and not show things like this. And then there could be a "spoiler" button that would reveal a full cast list and episode count.

As of IMDb 4.4 (for iOS) we have removed the episode count from the Top Series Cast slider on the series page. The count still lives in the detailed cast list (so be careful).... but at least casually browsing to the series main page will provide fewer spoilers.
