Thanks for the response., and the correction. I am well aware of how to track a contribution. But my question is: Why was incorrect, rather than correct information, accepted? In this case, was the link verifying the correct information not viewed?

It will be related to news report timings in the immediate news cycle after the announcement; there's often a lack of clarity at first.

Only rarely is the date of death the same as the date of initial reporting.
