I've been updating information for West of the Rockies (1931).  It was premiered as a silent film as "All Faces West" in 1929.  The production company went bankrupted and the film was sold at auction in 1930.  It was re-released in 1931 as a talkie as "Call of the Rockies".   I can not find where it was ever called "West of the Rockies".   I think it should be listed in your database as "Call of the Rockies" 1931, because that version had the widest distribution.  It also had a prologue added as well as sound.   "Call of the Rockies" is available on DVD.

Hi there,

Thank you for your post. It is our policy to list titles as they were first released. As 'Call of the Rookies' was a re-release title name it cannot be changed to this. If it is verified that this is how the title was originally titled when it was first released then we would be happy to make the appropriate changes.

Thank you for understanding!

"All Faces West" was premiered in Salt Lake City in 1929.   (I have uploaded the world premiere ad). It was also reviewed by this title in Jan-June 1929 Photoplay Magazine.  Pioneer Film Corp. went out of business the following year, and the film was sold at public auction.   It was re-released with "talkie" features in 1931 as "Call of the Rockies" and a review with this title appears in The Film Daily (7/12/31).  The database has the original title listed as "West of the Rockies".  This is wrong, as it was never called by this title.  The working title was "The Exodus".
