There are too many variables for IMDb to create a listing for each variant someone wants, so they set up the Advanced Title Search so you can roll your own.
For example, Most Popular Short Films/Feature Films/Documentaries/Videos/TV Movies Released In 2015 : http://www.imdb.com/search/title?release_date=2015-01-01,2015-12-31&title_type=feature,tv_movie,...
or
Feature Films Released 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2015 : http://www.imdb.com/search/title?release_date=2011-01-01,2015-12-31&sort=alpha,asc&title_typ...
You can add other restrictions as you desire.
To get to Advanced Title Search, you just need to select Advanced Search from the dropdown in the Search bar (normally displays All), then click on the Advanced Title Search text link.
