Your system is flawed

My Joker review was in queue and thus appeared in the middle of night quickly being buried under a litany of posts. In American time hardly anyone will see my fantastic post.

Now the way your system works is that the more people find review "useful" the more exposure it will get. But how on earth exactly will it get more exposure if there is no channel or sluice for it get more exposure?

It's a terrible example of Catch-22 in the process. Thus prolific reviewers get more prolific and the lesser ones less. A troubling disparity.

Of course this is not only exclusive to IMDB. In this world of popularity contest whether in FB, Youtube or Twitter same thing applies.

Bandwagoners feed bandwagoners whereas some thoughtful, thorough and indepth heart-felt reviews like mine and others disappear into ether.

Fix it.

There is nothing to fix. Your hypothesis is Poppycock.
Writing a review on a popular title and expecting it to remain near the forefront is absurd.
Prolific reviewers get "Zero" preferential treatment. Some of them have followings on IMDb's facebook page and as such people seek out their reviews. This is called  marketing one's own brand.
So don't complain about a non-issue. Market yourself if you want to be noticed better.

Then why review if I know because of this flawed system it will be buried 10 page deep under and no one will read it?

If it was set up such chronologically, I still would have chance. And I ain't exactly begging for my review to be noticed and be clapped by worldwide audience.

I spotted a flawed system. And merely pointed it out. It's an IMDB review and not my magnum opus that I will spend my time and energy to advertise a permalink. I can care less.

The Joker review is merely used an example of a much bigger system that IS flawed that needs to be fixed for the long run.

And it's not about prolific reviewers getting preferential treatment. The moment the review with the most exposure gets 'useful' likes it gets a bumped a little up more and more. Hence once a threshold is reached the ones with 1200 or so 'useful' likes will get more and more useful likes as it has better chance of being shown. It IS flawed.

It is set up chronologically if you choose it that way!
You are going out of your way to explain what everyone knows.
There are no flaws.
There are however user flaws.
Select the options that allow you to see reviews how you want to see reviews. Default is by most helpful. But you can reverse that to least helpful.
Or by best stars or worst stars.
Or by oldest review or newest review.
Any more questions?
