I am implementing the multi currency function and I have met some problems with decimals and rounding on P/Os.
When changing the system to our “home currency” the P/O start to give some rounded values regarding the sub total for the individual order line. Also the sub total for the complete order as well as the VAT (if any) and Total have rounded values.
The math simply don’t add up when 2 pcs á 15.30 = 31 (I also manage to get 2 pcs á 15.30 = 31.00 when trying different setting for different vendors).
What I need is multi decimals (5 decimals) for the unit price, always 2 decimals (31.00 not 31) for sub totals, VAT and Total and no rounded values, please.
We are not only buying in our home currency, so the currency converter will be of great help for us. I have not checked, but I guess the recent problems also go for S/Os (we are mainly exporting in foreign currency).
We run the system in multi user mode on Windows server 2003. Most users are using Windows XP (32 bit) and there are some Vista PCs as well.
I hope you can guide me how to set up the system so I can get back on track again.
If you need more information, please let me know.
Thanks for getting in touch and I'm very sorry to hear that you're having trouble with the conversions. Could you possibly confirm your main currency and the other currencies that you're working in? It might also be helpful if you feel comfortable providing your database so that we can have a look at the conversion behaviour.
If you could please make a backup and zip it into a compressed folder then send it to firstname.lastname@example.org. If it's too large to e-mail please try using a service such as SendSpace.com or YouSendIt.com. Should you have any further questions or concerns please let us know.
