at the moment when making a delivery, i have to use a 'packing slip' as a delivery note.
are there any plans to add a delivery note to the system which would have an area for the recipient to sign and date.

Hi Mark,

You can certainly create a delivery note using custom documents. This will allow you to add a signature line as well as any additional legal necessities to the document. For more information on how to do so please see here: however the nice thing about creating your own document is that you can make sure it's exactly as you want it!

Hope that helps.

I tried this and I was only able to get an invoice template. Is there a pick ticket, SO and packing list template? Or I simply need the mail merge fields to create the document from scratch is fine. On the packing list I would also like to add weights and dimensions if there are fields for printing.

Hi Gordineer,

We have all of the available templates that we have for you to download on this page:

You can use it for the SO also. Unfortunately, picking and packing information such as weights and dimensions are not currently being exported to the custom doc templates yet.

Ok cool, I got the list of roughly 100 fields that do export but I noticed the formatting is off.

For example if I print an invoice that spans two pages using the default invoice, the totals print only on the last page. If I take the template without making changes the totals print on both pages.

Did inflow use something different to make these reports? I am happy with the program but frustrated with the formatting.

Hi Daniel,

Yes, inFlow uses a different mechanism for the custom documents. The built-in documents use Crystal Reports, and the custom documents use Microsoft Word Mail Merge so that it's easier for people to modify the templates.

I'm sorry about the issue with the totals printing on each page; we'll investigate to see if there's a way we can get around this in the custom documents, thank you!

One year gone! Any improvements to the totals being printed on every page when using custom documents?

Hi Yaie,

There is a custom document that an inFlow user designed which uses the "end-note" to fairly spectacular results and he was kind enough to share it with the community. Unfortunately it's a little complex so it's not something that we push unless a user has a specific need for it. That said, you can get a copy of that template here: and should you have any trouble updating it please do let us know. Keep in mind that this template uses indent markers and tabs to accomplish its columns so when you're editing fields pay close attention to where those end up.

Hope that helps!

you should dedicate a section somewhere to allow user created content for templates to be shared...

Hi James,

Actually there's a page here: where we've included any templates that users have provided to us for sharing. If you have something you'd like to share then by all means please send it our way at!
